Nigerians like bad news.. See the way they are standing to watch him Am sure he didn't die on the spot Buh heartless Nigerians who don't Know they should be rushing him to the Hospital instead of standing to take pics. May his soul rest in peace..
No bro, he died ON THE SPOT. There was no way he could have survived the impact.

Lets face the truth, if the man had stopped to perhaps see if he could help the man the public fit lynch am. so i guess self preservation kicked in when he realised what he did that was he fled...

it doesn't make what he did right though... RIP TO THE DEAD.
The driver didn't run away ooo. And he wasn't lynched. It was really really sad sha.

Nothing but overspeeding. Nigerians can be reckless.

Nd nigerian lifestyle na
D guy might have been unconscious for a while with a faint pulse but If something like that happens ppl will just stsy from far and take pic and be on their way home, nigerians dont even know about first aid and even those that do dont make any attempt to help....somebody can even b shouting help and they will be taking pics.
Even worse is the attitude of the police and hospitals

Im sure if somebody picked that guy or tried to even see if there was a way to help the guy, the attitude of hospital staff would have still led to his death which would then be pinned on the innocent good samaritan by the police

This country na, which way

The particular guy in question was headed inwards from Tollgate. The spot where the accident happened cannot be more than 200m from tollgate. Yet he had attained so much speed that if you see the dent the dead guy's body made on the car, you'd never believe it was made by a human body. You'd think it was another vehicle that made the dent. The force was so much that the guy's hair was left on the cracked windshield. Now the question is why that much speed? You'd think he was trying to reach 100km/hr in 0.3 seconds like they do on car shows. Where was he in a hurry to? Has he now gotten there? Haba! When no be F1.

By the time the car came to a halt, the vehicle had made a complete 180° turn such that he was now facing tollgate. You know, the stuff (stunts) they do in movies....
Which is why I don't think it was brake failure like OP alluded to. It was a clear case of overspeeding. It was infact the screeching sound that initially drew my attention. Yes! the brakes were that sharp!

An accident which occurred as a result of a car's brake failure in Sango Ota area of Ogun State, has left a man dead. It was gathered that the man who just alighted from a bike that brought him to a dry-cleaning company, was knocked down by the car after he must have paid the bike guy.

The man who was about entering the dry cleaning company, was knocked across the drainage and died at the spot.
