People far richer than you have killed themselves

People more popular than you may ever be have committed suicide

People more good looking than you have taken their lives

People far more educated than you have ended their lives

Suicide is a function of depression and has got very little to do with all the self righteous things you mentioned below.

That you have no empathy for people who feel that the pain they are feeling can only end when they leave this world...

...says a lot about you

7lives:

Every man for himself, God for all of us.
When people choose to carry load that's too much for them and now blame others for not giving them a helping hand, na lagoon sure pass.
When people choose to go through the fast lane not minding the risks involved, na lagoon sure pass.
When people choose not to live a God fearing life, na lagoon still sure pass.
When people refused to learn from others people's mistakes, na lagoon still sure pass.
When people hide under religion to do evil, na lagoon sure pass.
The earlier people begins to face the music they composed the better, suicide has nothing to do with the economic recession, it is an escape route for the Lilly livered.
The next person that will commit suicide should please try rat poison and die quietly, the population of this country is already too much anyway.
And some of us who are braving the current economic recession, may the Lord continue to give us the needed courage, wisdom, understanding and inspiration that will see us through, in the mighty name of Jesus.

Most suicidal people just need someone to talk too to save them. All what you just said is enough to make a depressed person commit suicide.

APC is the government, Buhari is its head. Both have been a curse to this country

Nigerians used to be known for how much they loved and enjoy life, until recent years suicide bombing and jumping into the lagoons was never our thing. I pray god help us in this country o
Yes because we stopped caring has a nation. Nigeria was a country was everybody business was your business, but now we hardly care about what the next person is going through.

How can you say he is the government when he is not a public office holder. Ever since APC took over Nigeria has been falling at all sides.Meningitis, lasa fever, hunger and unemployment, job losses and now high rate of suicide in canals, oceans and at homes.

The beginning of wisdom is calling things by their real names. Buhari has brought Nigeria to its crashing kneels.

I sent him a message, I hope he got it. You can whine all you want.

In Nigeria.family members, out of yet another specie of unsound mind, will notice a family member is sick, either mentally or physically.
Rather than look for professional help for such a person, such a person will be allowed to go on,to relate to the entire world as if he or she is a normal person. When we accept human CAN FALL SICK AND THAT IT IS NOT A SIN TO FALL SICK and when we accept those who looks normal can be actually be sick, emotionally & mentally sick in dire need of professional/medical interventions r the new emerging rate of suicide will decline.

HOW CAN his family memebrs ignore his recent tweet saying so loud and so clear.

Complete BS
the capacity to handle depression and stress differ with individuals, good you handle yours but everyone can't be like you, some aren't strong willed so they need counselling, encouragement but in all suicide should never be an option

It might be easy to quickly condemn whoever commit suicide because you haven't been in their place.
If you have ever been in such situation, you might have been dead before you'd realize it isn't the way out.

I know these;
Not because I'm told;
But because I've been through it too.
Only GOD can save at such situations.

I have always condemned their actions like anyoens would, until I came to realize it is beyond your human capability to control if you eventually find yourself in it.

Therefore,
Never condemn or blame or mock those who commit suicide. You never know what they've been through. Rather, pray for yourself and loved ones to never find themselves in such situation.

I have said it countless of time... Anybody that commits suicide do not usually have their sense in place. Their sense of reasoning at the time of the act has been Psychologically derailed. And this could be linked to depression which is caused by too much brooding (over-thinking) on an emotional issue, financial, health etc. If they were stopped in the act and got helped, very few times they go back and try it again. Except Psychiatric cases.

Anybody can commit suicide even if u denounce it countless of time... Its a tipping point in life, when ur mind tells u the only way to end the pain is to do something drastic and if u survive it, count yourself lucky. Its like anger that u cant control when someone pushes u pass ur tipping point, ur sense wont return until someone stops u or done the damage.
Everyone one has a trace of madness hidden within then, only anxiety caused by anger, depression, over joyous, lustfulness etc can bring it out.

Thats the very moment Someone tell u, Have u Lost ur Mind?? and u reply "i didnt know what came over me, i just did it"... Truly my friend u just exhibited ur moment of madness...

May God deliver us from any anxiety that will make us do otherwise

u just said my mind.....: May GOD help us all.

Nice point there of all comments I've read here and skipped.
Keeping to oneself is very dangerous and can lead to extreme decision.

bros nobody is born bad, it's condition that made the crayfish to bend, The masses elected you cos they believed your promises, they hoped in you but, unfornately they were played, they were used.
It's only hunger and suffering, unemployment e.t.c, thats leads to arm robbery and kidnabbing, drug pushing and suicide.

And it is the government telling you to burn suspects in the streets or taking cash for votes or give and take bribes abi? Read up on the American revolution. You will understand why Nigeria's problem is caused by the masses. During that time, it was the ordinary man on the streets who banded together to force change from Britain. If they had kept on blaming Britain, who was the government at the time for their woes, do you think there would be an America today?

I think the nigerian police promised to patrol all the bridges in lagos against people with sucide tendencies. The rate of sucide is increasing by the day. Government have to be proactive in providing jobs, soft loan and whatever it takes to make life easy in terms of social welfare to its teeming population.
The guy is fed up with the economic recession I think.
