I have read this thread right through. Its unfortunate that apart from a very view posts most of the posters are a direct reflection of the sad situation we find ourselves resulting from terrible programming which has transformed us into a generation of citizens who dwell in the state of entitlement.
For the ''graduates'' among us I would expect a different perspective. You get a job in a an organisation where your expectations are not met I am sure you know what your next line of action should be. I have worked in HR capacity for many years and I can tell you just one thing. No organisation at home and abroad undermines its very productive staff. The hangers who are very dispensable in the system may be besmirched and abused but in all honesty a performing star who is invaluable to the system will always be respected and courted. Unless of course it is a very foolish manager that is running the place.

Even among the Asian companies, the performers stand out. In a certain Plastic company in Lagos, they have a Nigerian female staff that is really well paid and is provided a staff car with a four bedroom apartment in a highbrow location in Lagos because she is good. The lady in question has been there just 2 years and is excelling beyond their imagination and they have no choice but to make her life easy.

Summarily, if you really know your onions well and you can deliver, it is the organisation that you work for that will tolerate a lot of nonsense from you because they need you and your professional delivery. Anyone who complains about any organisation and is still working there needs a full length mirror.

My opinion though.

For those reading and passing by....#Bridge creative Nigeria# pls stay away frm dem. They are start up creative and advertising agency, but the only thing dey have and kno hw to do is to 'sweet mouth' everything.
Dos dey employed few months back, believed in dere so called dreams, we're loyal and worked tirelessly for dem bt unfortunately dese staffs were laid off by dis company without paying dem a penny!!... Dats jus d summary. So I repeat again, stay away if u see vacancy frm them, unless u ready to experience d same...

I am quite sure you are very single. If you have responsibilities, you will understand that leaving a job just because your boss talks to you anyhow is not easy.I want to believe you are still a dependent on someone or group if persons

On the contrary Sir, I am very married and together with my spouse we have serious responsibilities that we attend to judiciously. My husband is a salary earner and I voluntarily resigned from a mouth watering experience to pursue that which has been closest to my heart.

My take on this matter is that your self dignity is very hallowed and must be protected with every fibre of your being. The day you compromise on this tenet is the beginning of a very fast slide into self destruction.

No one deserves to be emotionally terrorized by anyone else irrespective of the accompanying rewards. Your sanity is better than all the material rewards you can get from any job.

The emotional trauma that you can draw from certain tolerant dispositions may haunt you for a long time.

Just beware of emotional abuse in the workplace. There is usually more damage than meets the eye.

another company i know is TEcnicool Nig Ltd. Dey can owe for Africa.. My sister works der and since nov last yr the man hasn't paid yet the company is making money.

This hotel is situated at number 7 adenubi close,off toyin street,opebi,ikeja,behind st Leo's church.
People who have worked in this hotel before had a bitter experience working with it.Including me.

The MD has a attitude of exploiting staff and not paying them at the end of the month.Some staff who have worked for 3 to 4 month were not paid.
The MD,whose name is Valentine will use one ploy to deny his staff his monthly pay by bribing the police to intimidate staff so that his/her salary will be forfeited.The hotel lack facilities like water in the rooms.

We go to a church within that Street to fetch water for the hotel guests.There are broken pipes that causes water to leak in some of the rooms,leaked roof,faulty ACs and irregular generator power supply.PHCN has cut power supply from the hotel because of it indebtedness to it.LASAA came recently to notify him about removing it signpost.

There is no value for guests money.So if you are seeking for employment,avoid that hotel if you don't want to work in vain.And as a guest,seek for a better accommodation elsewhere

Its a new business(Emperor Place), not up to 8 months. They're a fastfood and restaurant...also sell pizza.
If you don't live in Ikorodu, then don't bother. Ijede is a bus ride from Ikorodu garage. The company is just ok, but be ready for low pay, disregard for agreement and late closure. As explained by Nenergy

Odun environmental and Pieach architectural limited at victoria island close to goodies supermarket. They both share office space but act as seperate companies and are owned by two crazy, babaric, hostile, abusive, fraudulent, siblings who tk pleasure in causing pain and sacking their employees. The MD in pieach is worse. Nt married at age 50 with no kid, she will keep u in the office till 10.30pm everyday as her home is virtually empty and a 10mins drive frm d office. She is a sadist, and a very depressed bastard. Nt changin over to phcn on time attracts deduction of 10k. Gen spoils, employee wil pay. Even wen her car tyre spoilt, drivers paid for it. Work is sun to sun. She is highly highly insultive, ijebu, and will devise any ,means to defraud u. If she detects any form of boldness, she feels threatned and either publicy embarrass u severally or sack outrightly. A driver died 2weeks after she sacked him and the first thing she said wen i tld her was "thnk God he didnt die in the office ooh" only her uses internet, heavily passwrded, employees pay for office stationeries... Just sad. If u offered 100k per mnth, she will pay the first 2 to 3mnths, then bring up absurd deductions with no questions and cut ur salary into half for d nxt 5mnths. D cycle continues.... If u recieve any job offer frm the abv companies and u accept it, just get rdy to be psychologically damaged. I hd to battle low esteem prob after i resigned there. Still recuperating.

Yes..... The woman is that and more.
I worked in Pieach for only 1month, did not stay to take further trash from her...

I resigned immediately she slashed my salary which seemed to be the norm for her.

The staff were just laughing at my reaction, they were like "welcome to Pieach! We warned you!"...

The woman is just devil incarnate.

Ma'am, no company is going to come out and challenge their ranting ranters claim. Slander, salary owing and whatever you choose to call it will continue to go on until the labour laws are effective, because as of today, we do not have any labour law that is effective.
