- Poverty is a mentality issue... not how rich or financially buoyant a person is... poverty is a classification based on stereotype..

please note compensation is not the term in this case as I'm sure none of those living in those horrible slums ever acquired a square inch of land. However I'm totally for rehabilitation of these people. Having slums is not healthy for the community in the slum, the general public and our image. That's why most Europeans or Americans thinks Africa is all about mosquitoes, malnutrition and cholera

Even in advance countries despite the level of standard of living , maximum is between 2 to 3 ..mostly 2 kids , how can a poor family living in a shallow wooden area makings babies like animals without control ? There are reasons why slum is common in third world countries.

We should be looking more at what creates the slums and find alternatives. Then maybe we will be able to eradicate the slums humanely,sustainably,and gradually. Humans shouldn't at given time live like pigs,but dire factors contributes to situations where supposed humans live like animals.

life creates slums. Soweto in Africa, Harlem even in the USA. The notorious favela in Brazil. While got might have let these people down at some point. Slums are not acceptable. That's why most in it are oblivious to the effects while living it. It's dehumanizing people

yes but you and I know there are no laws in the slums. No one should be made to or willingly choose to live in a slum. These people must have villages somewhere let them return. What do you think will happen to kids who grow up in that hellhole
