I remembered how it was not easy to pay school fees that is not up to 3K per session back then. The blood pressure and fear of not writing exams on Examination Day.

Parents were once rich but everything went crazy along the line, if they had killed themselves they will not be alive to live in the House I built for them in just 6 months.

I am not rich but I am living my dream life without ever CHEATING ANYBODY, 1 DIME FROM ANY POLITICIAN. Pure Hardwork and Dedication. As a matter of fact as i type this, i am working. .

If it is a girl, Plenty will come begging for you when you achieve your dream.

If it a guy, plenty will come begging when you finish working on yourself.

I am just typing this to let you know that whatever you are going through. It will soon be history.

Just keep your heads up and believe in yourself.

Have a dream you are chasing and NEVER GIVE UP. NOTHING , I repeat NOTHING is worth 'DIEING' for.

Just 1 person and i have seen the person. I feel fulfilled already.

The "I too know" or probably your inability to read long post is your problem.

I am not insulting you. I never claimed expertise on depression.

What i simply wrote is the fact that there is light after a dark tunnel based on my personal experience.

I am not picking quarrel with you and like i said, it is meant for just 1 person and somebody already confirmed that.

Depression i presume would have underlining reasons. Love, financial state i assume would form even if it is 2 percent of it.

That 2% is what i tried to deal.

I've come to realise that most Nigerians don't take depression as a serious illness. They just write it off because they have this mindset that people who claim to suffer from depression are just attention seekers.
I've been there so I know how hard it is to prove that you really need help.

I already knew that your write up is based on your experience. But let me tell you a simple fact about depression. I will not use jargons here so that you can understand. Please if you understand this, help us to educate people and broadcast it to people so that their understanding of depression can be better. It will help us all.

Depression is a health problem. The way malaria is. If you see a malaria infected person shivering, will you blame him? You already knew it is not his fault. It is his system that is not working well as a result of the malaria. On a bigger picture, if you see a mad man in the street, with condemned wears, you won't blame him because you already know that he has a mental problem. The same way with depression. It is a mental health problem. Think of it, a doctor who has a job, has an SUV car, have a driver, should be comfortable enough. There was no report of debt. But he did it. It is just a mental health problem. For those that have it, they may not know until a condition triggers it. I have more to explain. But battery down. I may continue later if you want me to. Thanks

u might really not want 2 say tell a depressed person that he or she is selfish. its something they come 2 terms with on their own sooner or later.I had a lady friend who told me several times she always felt like commiting suicide. I told her she was a very selfish person cos that's what she was. I took that risk cos she wasn't depressed. she was just plain spoilt and selfish. everything was always about her.this might not apply 2 all cases though
