It is good for the morale of the troops, but oga sleep there like one week nah...That's called leading from the front.

Thinking you are sounding smart, you don't realize such a move would only put his men at greater risk? Since Boko would intensify their efforts to kill or capture the man thereby launching fiercer attacks on the base in which more soldiers would be exposed to the risk of death or injury.

Social Media Army. Our army has become a shadow of its old glory or was that information we hear about our troops in the 80s & 90s' a fallacious concoction of vainglory without any tangible feat.
Common Boko Haram....

He can't sleep there because, he was once in their shoes and he survived it.After sometime this calvary will also change position for another calvary.

He is too young to have been in the Civil War, and too old to have been in Liberia/Sierra Leone.

We've been fighting BHT for 8 years, the longest conflict we have been on.

Anyways it is still a morale booster.

Your profile pix and your personnae vid your posts seem like a mismatch.

Pix is that of a vibrant and young lady who seem to have been put through private schooling while your posts seem reactionary and betrays the possibility that the person behind the moniker is somewhat masculine and angry.

No army in this world, particularly an army at war, that don't issue press releases and photo ups for propaganda value. Our army has recorded tangible feats, contrary to your claims, as we have squeezed BH out of the 14 LGAs they once held and have also pushed Niger Delta militancy back. It is not the best army in the world, we know these, but to say that our "army has become a shadow of its old glory" is misinformation and most unfair to the guys who are the front daily fighting for us to have the comfort we have right now.

That's a general? Smh. How is it that a country's army looks more like a bunch of vigilante than a military force? What a people.

Ledears don't have to be in the front, but in a strategic place. The aim is to disarm your enemy..

What do child-soldiers do in other war torn african countries?

When you are in a war torn area your reasoning changes, but the down side of it is when the body can't meet up to extreme conditions.

Soldiers train for years and die on the first day in battle even without expending a single bullet

Bros use your senses a bit now. Those who are fighting is it for free? Don't they get paid? Do you know how many gallant Nigerian youths enrol to join the army even upon Boko Haram and still get turned down based on man-know-man? Man, Nigerians are not cowards and everyone has a right to air his own opinion.

If one soldier lays down his weapon today, there are thousands waiting to take his place, that's naija for you.

But bro, do soldiers defend your ass for free

It is their job and they are getting paid for it. Just like journalists who risk their lives sometimes to bring you fresh news. Every job comes with its risk. Pilots fly people everyday. But they get paid for it. No one can fight me for not thanking a pilot after a flight (although I appreciate them a lot).

In summary, soldiers are professionals. You don't need to ask anyone to go and be a soldier simply because he has the opinion that soldiers are not doing their jobs well. We have a right to criticize soldiers because they are being paid from our taxes. A soldier must be seen to be working effectively. They have been paid to protect you. They are not doing it for free. They can be held accountable just as you can hold any other professional accountable for their actions.
