Let's just face the harsh reality, the lady is selfish. if their religion permits, she could just have succumb to pressure. She would be the highest loser at the end of the day cos the incoming wife now becomes No1 because of her strong head.

I am not a muslim but let us be objective here, why did she marry a muslim man if she wanted to be the only wife?

There is a woman in my former place of work that told me categorically that the reason why she became a christian (catholic) was because she didn't want to marry a muslim man that can end up marry more women later in life... since Islam allows it.

even though i am a strong supporter of polygamy, i do not support what some men like Musa is doing (that is if the story is true).

Men intending to marry more than one woman at a time should know that they cannot do that without the full consent of their wife, and that consent has to be given not under duress. the logic behind it is that: YOU JUST CANNOT DRAG A GROWN INDIVIDUAL INTO AN INSTITUTION IF THEY DO NOT CONSENT TO IT! YOUR CURRENT WIFE/WIFES ARE GROWN INDIVIDUALS AND FROM THAT, THEY DERIVE THE INALIGNABLE RIGHT TO CONSENT, UNDER NO DURESS, TO WHAT EVER KIND OF ARRANGEMENT YOU WANT TO GET THEM INTO.

and pls dont come up with 'my religion allows this and that'. thats a poor excuse to want to go into polygamy! you people are the kind of people that make poygamy look like it is a bad thing. if you feel you must take another wife, then i think you should have let your wife to know about it even before you got maried to her. just before mariage, and among the other things you must talk about, you should let her know that as you are getting married to her, there is still a possibility that she is going to have a co-wife as time goes on. if she wants it, then she can go on and get maried to you, but if not, then you two should part ways.
