Why is this write-up just coming up? Why did It not pre date 2015 general elections?
I was so ashamed of being a Rivers man when the only reason given (even by the Rivers Ijaw people)for handing over power to Wike was that he was the only one who can wrestle power from Amaechi, they even alluded albeit shamefully that an opobo man is not a Riverine.
I am sorry to say but for me this cry is a little too late. You know what's going to happen,Wike leaves in 2023, an ogoni man leaves in 2031 then we can think of who next.
My one cent.
Who said OPOBO man isn't Ijaw? Are you sure you are from Opobo? I have Opobo friends INCLUDING a relative of Dakuku who was part of the whole campaign.

Dakuku lost Ijaw land because of the perception that he was fronting for an Ikwerre man (Amaechi) and the north (which I disputed) and he isn't a man of his own. Unfortunately, he did nothing to counter such accusation.

What a brazen display of Ignorance...

I am an Okrika man, I mean both parents and ancestors, Okrika is a KINGDOM not an ethnic group. Same with Kalabari, Ibani, Andoni etc clans in Rivers state. We are ALL IJAWS and we identify with our group. It is both dumb and silly of you to say we want to lose our identity. Which identity? the one we got from your ancestors? Ijaws, are ONE from same parentage... Let that sink

Secondly, with 11LG +, Ijaw remains the LARGEST group in Rivers state.

Anyway, I don't blame you, I blame PEJ and other Ijaw sell outs that shut out Ijaw aspirants under PDP in 2015 hoping that they will warn Federal appointments when GEJ wins. I also blame some Ijaw youths that allowed themselves to be used as political thugs by non Ijaw politicians in 2003, 2007 and 2015.

Hopefully, INC and IYC take up this and we shall see what next in 2019.
Continue in your delusion. you are all ijaws but others should bear the name of their town as an "ethnic nationality".

And remember that dividing the igbo group into smaller groups and calling each of them "ethnic nationality" will do you more harm than good. In the event that Ikwerre want to rotate the governoship to another "ethnic nationality" they will argue that Ijaws should wait for those who have not smelled the seat before and go for their fellow igbos in Etche or Oyigbo

Odili the evil genius allegedly recruited cultists and militants to silent prominent Ijaw sons like Marshall Harry and Dikibo in 2003 in order to pave way for him to rig in 2003. The strategy of using Ijaw youths as thugs to make our towns insecure was further improved by his boys Amaechi and Omehia by allegedly recruiting Ateke Tom and George Soboma respectively to do the dirty job. in fact, Ateke in 2008 December confessed how Amaechi recruited and funded him with a whopping N50million as at then in addition to arms and ammunition. Omehia glorified George Soboma and armed him to the brim.

We all witnessed what happened in 2015... Enough is enough.

Ijaw youths MUST stop making themselves available for dirty jobs, they must demand what rightfully belongs to them for the development of Ijaw land and Rivers state in general. I hope an Ijaw son challenge Governor Wike for PDP ticket in 2019.
When others are developing themselves you are busy breeding militants and boasting how you are better than everybody because you have oyel. Your militant infested region can't even find a befitting governorship candidate to vote for but good to be used as thugs for others

Keep quiet and stop wailing at your self inflicted pain. This thread concern me fully because your wailing brothers said this. He mistakenly accepted that Ikwerres are igbos and compared Ikweres to Zik and Okpara as he compared rivers Ijaw to Bayelsa Ijaws.

9. To deny Rivers Ijaw the governorship of new Rivers State because Diete-Spiff and Okilo were governors of old Rivers State, is like denying Ikwerre the governorship because Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, Dr. Michael Okpara and Odumegwu Ojukwu were premiers/military governor of old Eastern Region that included present Rivers State.

Nigeria geo-political zones are not ethnic boundaries. You either wake up to that fact or continue crying up and down.

Mr man, nobody hates Ijaw. I don't know why you people consider objective analysis as hatred. If there's anyone with the hate, it is you.

If Ijaw is the largest group in Rivers state, one wonder why they're the ones calling for equity and justice. I've never heard of the majority group begging to be given a chance to govern a state. Since you're the majority, you should have the voting population to change the course to your favour.

Tell yourself the truth and live long.
Ijaws are known for Equity and justice. We, in the spirit of that supported the Upland/Riverine sharing formula even when we had the resources to continue our dominance of Rivers state. We are very liberal and no bigot as we believe in bringing others to the table. And nobody is BEGGING anybody.

We are only appealing to our people to be strategic and present our best for 2019 in all political parties. Whatever it is, 2019 shall tell

Listen m.oron the fact that Ijaws were at the bottom of the ladder of meritocracy years back does not mean their souls should be condemned to the same pit this century. You Igbos should enjoy what you can have in Rivers while you rule. I am sure when power is finally taken away from you, your brethren will cry more than bloody before you can smell it again.
Wow, wow wow, I love you soo much for finally accepting the truth. If your mischievous ijaw brother can do same there would be no issues. all part of SE rotate governorship peacefully but the troublesome ijaw laid the foundation of Rivers with ethnic acrimony that later turn out to favor igbos

You were liberal enough to support an upland candidate in Peter Otunnaya Odili in 1991 as the majority group that you are. In 2007, your liberalism was unshaken and that's why you supported another upland person in Celestine Ngozi Omehia/Chibuike Amaechi. I also find it distasteful for you to say i have no right to comment about rivers politics. Do you know where i was born and spent the first 12 years of my life? Maybe you should also not be going to Kogi state to fight for what doesn't concern you.

If you like spend 100 years of your life in Rivers state, it doesn't and will NEVER make you a Riverian.

I was born in Lagos and I spent lots of years there, it doesn't make me a LAGOSIAN or a Yorubaman. In fact, my opinion on the political direction in Lagos is IRRELEVANT, I will only have the choice of voting for whoever parties present. Whether an Epe or Ikorodu man, it is for LAGOSIANS to decide.

Same applies to YOU! You are not a Rivers man and will NEVER be. I don't think whether Ijaw man cares who succeed Obiano, whether an Aguleri or Nnewi man. Politicians will always align with candidates of their party. You have to realise this HARD FACT!

As for my Kogi trip, it was a fight for justice of a friend and not a mission to dictate to Kogites their political direction... My Opinion don't count in that.
