They can just come up with additional courses anytime for you to offer, for which you will have to pay for.

I have been to UNILAG & UNIUYO and didn't fail any course but only in NOUN that i have failed and carried over a course.

Just take this word of advice "do not underrate NOUN".

I have colleagues in my place of work who graduated from there.
Currently I'm running an M.Sc programme with them.

I started the prog. in 2008 and later suspended it for another master program at UNIBEN which I rounded up in the year 2012 I came back same year and graduated the following year even I met all my mates intact when I came back and graduated ahead of all of them except one. That it to show you can actually study at your own pace . let me also add that , the number of years spent depends on you versatility and dogedeness , you can spend two or more depending on your determination and focus dear. while my mates were regeatring for 7 ,6 or 8 courses at a go during examinations, I registered for 4 or even three which I passed at a go whereas, they may fail some and later rerun them while I was slowly but steadlu progressing. I may soon enroll for my Phd in same institution

On the topic of introduction of new courses, a school can't introduce 5 new courses to final year student, already writing their projects. I challenge you, or anyone to prove me wrong on this. You have finished your final year exams, already started writing your projects, then, the schools comes up with 5 new courses? Who does that ?

As to the expenses, I guess being "expensive" is relative. What is cheapto you, might be difficult for some.

mr op. firstly, the best way to confirm if a school is recognized or not in nigeria is to check with national university commission. so far the school has an approval from the relevant authority in nigeria. it is acceptable and transferable.

the idea of establishing national open university is to fercilitate education to the ballon population of nigeria illiterate so that the country can attain a considerable amount of literate class. the UK has an open university likewise malaysia. the uk open university has won so many award in the past years.

As a student your aim should focus solely on the skills you wanted to get from noun. it is a public university. so it is a national heritage. get the skills and buttress your life.
