The same government did not achieve anything with their high handedness All they asking is for the imbeciles that run FG to start a university and their slaves on NL want us to return to N500/$ with uncertainties everywhere |

winningwinner post: Did you make a statement or you just opened your mouth wide? The information says "unfulfilled promises by the federal government". What concerns the names you just mentioned with the case at hand? Is it not better you address the issue than casting aspersions? I weep for missionless, visionless and directionless Nigerian youths. It's a pity!!! I didn't want to reply the above but for benefit of doubt i will. Pls try and answer this questions with sincere mind. Least i forget, i am a grounded Akwa Ibom Man, 1. Was there no unfulfilled promises during GEJ era; did u even hear these so call militants threatening to bomb any pipeline? 2. Was GEJ not the president that shld have fulfilled atleast 60% of these unfulfilled promises?what did he do for us down here? Pls try and go to UKANA in ESSIEN UDIUM L.G.A and see what GODSWILL AKPABIO did to his village nay his Local Government Area and tell me if GEJ didn't have more power and resources to do such in the NIGER DELTA. Do you knw why Akpabio did that? Simple it may take donkey years before such part of Akwa Ibom State will occupy the seat of a Governor. 3. Do you think all these militants do not have bosses that they pay allegiance to? Talk abt who first started militancy and who control large chunk of ammunition. 4. Do you knw that if all these militants were call to the presidency and money or contract is given, they wouldn't be signing a different tune now? 5. As a NIGER DELTAN, am not happy with Nigeria structure where they kill the Goose that lay the golden egg. I want restructuring, where we can control our resources. 6. Until we have a group(s) of people that will have the interest of NIGER DELTA at heart then all these is like running to nowhere. 7. I like GEJ but he was too slow. |

what ever meaning or interpretation we may give to this threat, let's realize that the Niger Delta problem predates Johnathan or buhari, one of the characteristics of integrity is sincerity,a promise is a debt, let buhari show he has honour n keep his words but if he prefers the military option then let him show his hand.the Niger delta agitation was largely peaceful until yerima bakura taught he could use religion(sharia) for political gains,an act obasanjo foolishly couldn't stop, the repercussions was the aggresive n violent beginning of resource control agitation especially in the Niger Delta. |

Jolar101 post: Good point you raise, what is the latest in Ogoni cleanup? It's almost two years since this government went to campaigns for Manus Abe. My brother i don't knw. This is why i will continue to blame GEJ: God gave him the post of president to clean up Ogoni and also write off atleast atleast 50% wrong meted on NIGER DELTAN but he went their and start fighting perceived enemies orchestrated by his own enemies. |

omenkaLives:I thought I had respect for this poster, but going by his stand on issues of national importance makes him a suspect. Either Omenka or Okwanka, truth should be respected. You hold your progress when all you do is run round the circle - all motions but no movement! What prevents you from keeping your mouth shut when you know you cannot keep your promises? Who do you want to impress? You celebrated the Ogoni Clean up with much fanfare and now you did nothing and you want the people to be clapping for you? The days such nonesense is done are over. Change requires that you do things differently and positively too. We need to see your achievement before you blame agitators or protesters. The bunch of imbecility that beclouded the present Nigerian youths is unfathomable. You came with the idea of objectivity yet you celebrate parochialism and detatchment of a whole region. Will you succeed? Wise people don't open their mouths wide to spew trash, they think deeper before they speak. People will always be hunted by their evil pasts of omission and commission. It cannot end here, there is always a pay day according to the laws of distributive justice. When you joke or trivialise every important issue, when it is your turn to get serious about a thing, people will joke and trivialise it. It is a law! |

Flyingngel:There you go again! At least I have been able to establish a fact that you lack objectivity. You are beclouded by partisan politics and divide-and-rule tactics. It has never helped any nation. Being an Akwa Ibom is a blackmail of the highest level. Have you not heard the saying: "he who pays the piper dictates the tune?" Your paymasters are in charge of your reasoning, being an Akwa Ibom man notwithstanding! You campaigned against GEJ and voted him out for what you outlined above as your good reasons. Now all that GEJ and his outgone government did which you called error then are what you are doing today with celebrations and fanfare. What makes your government different? I stand to be corrected that once a President is voted to power he accepts and absorbs all other nationals (citizens) no matter their party affiliations or regions as his own constituency. Your government is yet to tell Nigerians if they are ruling Nigeria or some segments of Nigeria. Your corruption war is lopsidded and has never recorded a plus achievement. I can go on and on. But before I leave you with your childish conscience, let me reitrate here that I am not a party man - I stand for justice. I criticize any government in power for their mistakes and celebrate them for their achievements. Don't feel you made a valid point in what you wrote above. Consider it and find out if your writing is propelled by your love for Nigeria or your selfish interest. Think deep about it... |

People can term them what ever same they so desire. It's called freedom of opinion.truth remains, if the oils were located in south West or in northern Nigeria, believe me by now. Nigeria will only be heard in our books. You people criticizing Niger deltans are just being biased in saying the truth. Why is the presidency trying so hard to find oil in the North. why is the presidency making plans to build another rifinary in the North. Why are berau de change still selling dollars instead of the banks. Well, I only blame the deltans, rivers and bayelsans for allowing the Yorubas and northerners to become a parasite in their land. Open your eyes you people and stop being afraid. Am from Rivers and am Igbo. One thing I know for sure is Biafra stands for equal opportunities for all |

I don't knw what you mean by 'k lack objectivity', if asking u questions and i needed answer point by point is what the above mean then i seriously disappointed in you. You bluntly refuse to answer my question but resort in attacking my person with your '' ADULT CONSCIENCE''. I have realise that when anybody in this forum criticise GEJ, automatically he or she is APC member. I am nonpartisan and i hail GEJ where he need it and criticise where it is necessary. If the president is father to all then are the Militants bothering him? Have u not heard or seen the tempo Buhari move to rebuild Northeast? If it was GEJ you lot would have said he cannot do it because he is father to all. The issue of voting shld not come into play here i didn't vote APC neither i am happy with what they are doing here. |

winningwinner:About the ogoni cleanup, the govt hasn't done enough, i admit. But the armnesty issue they raised is a big scam. These N.D youth, are being paid minimum of 70k per month (those under the scheme) admidst al those abroad on scholarship n those that are being trained in one institute or the other. Fine, mayb all their accrued benefits aren't getting to them, but their leaders n elders are the saboteurs of the effect of the govt. |

When I said how to make ND oil irrelevant they disagreed with me. I simply told them diversification away from oil and gas. Seek positive relationship but try at same time to negotiate from position of strength. https://www.nairaland.com/3624845/how-make-niger-delta-oil |

kelechi17:Nope. Anambra' finest! These guys don't have the interests of their people at heart they just want money and are the attack dog of the evil hidden hand that has been pulling the strings of this ill fated country for far too long. All they know is violence. Whether elections, negotiations, land disputes, cultism, etc. All they do is make the lives of regular deltans miserable. https://www.nigeriatoday.ng/2017/04/massive-federal-projects-lined-up-for-rivers-in-2017-budget-abe/ How can the FG implement plans without a budget? If they go outside the law PMB is a tyrant. If the stay within the law they are called dullards and unserious. NASS has sat on this budget since December throwing a temper tantrum because they aren't getting to loot freely like before. |
