He was never even competent enough to handle that post! Look at even how otondoish he looks in that snap shot! Unfit, old, very poor orator, dull, always looking as if he is scared, dodging the press! This chap only got the job because of nepotism and not because of any sort of outstanding background he has in dealing with government administration! He has always been a northern coordinator (run around mallam) for most of buharis campaigns so this was a "reward job"!

Some lessons for you - There is a clear difference between "Leadership Competence" and "Profession Competence". Some people go through both, starting with the later; while some never attain leadership competence. That he's an engineer does not preclude him from leadership.

Meanwhile, I think you should find out information before making suppositions that are wrong and unfair. First off, Babachir deserves to be fired, BUT you cannot rubbish his ascendancy on some wrongly famed northern oligarchy. Besides Babachir is a Christian, an ECWA theologian and not a mallam as you suppose

Let us learn to deal with facts and lay off sentiments, especially when those sentiments are actually clear case of ignorance

Who called him a christian! I said run around mallam...it is a code in northern politics! It is like a christian who acts like a muslim and intercede with christian political groups on behalf of a muslim politician! In the north mallam is used for everyone as a snide comment sometimes! And yes his post was based on nepotism and not any competence!
