What is worse than the present affliction ravaging you now?
Aufbauh:
I actually use to hold reservations and restrain for the personality of GEJ irrespective of his abysmal performance while in office for the simple reason that he rightly conceded a deserved defeat. But not anymore.

Words attributed to GEJ from the excerpts of the new book implies that he conceded defeat not out of heartfelt conviction and genuine concern for Nigerians, but out of external pressure and fear for his position as a person.

My conclusion from his pathetic ranting and rambling is that GEJ is a shameless pathetic weakling who is not responsible and responsive.
Thank God the "affliction" do not rise the second time.

it was always funny when i hear people say he conceded defeat out of genuine concern for the country. like how moronic. The simple truth believe it or leave it is GEJ didnt even have the balls to hold on to power!

I rather regard GEJ as a hero than a coupist hypocrite called Buhari that destroyed Nigeria with his military henchmen.

Let's give the bloody dog a bad name has started again...

This government should stop acting like dogs chasing their tails, we know how much energy and resources they've spent discrediting Jonathan, so let us see them work.

These distractions is just too much, Jona was corrupt; okay, then just prosecute the damn man and save us these media barrage.

Words attributed to him, please are you people not tired of these things; everyone from 1957 till date save for Murtala Muhammad, Azikiwe and Awolowo was a thief except there's concrete proof otherwise.

Propaganda will do Nigeria, Buhari and APC no good; there are institutions of government charged with investigating and prosecuting criminals, let them do their job.

Nice try with your paid advertorials.
Was it APC that wrote the book people are currently reacting to? if GEJ had shut up and hid himself quietly in shame will all these be happening now? in any sane country no reason whatsoever why past governments wont be facing serious prosecutions now.

PUNCH are shameless liars for claiming that "Jonathan left no new signature infrastructure project"

Let me remind PUNCH:

1) GEJ built 14 brand new Federal Universities in Ekiti, Lokoja, Nasarawa, Bayelsa, Ebonyi, Taraba, Gombe, Yobe, Jigawa, Katsina, Delta, Zamfara and Kebbi

2) GEJ built three brand new Federal Polytechnics in Bonny, Kaduna and Ondo states

3) GEJ built all the current best roads in Nigeria

• Benin - Ore - Ijebu Ode expressways

• Abuja - Lokoja expressways

• 10-lanes expressways from National
Stadium - Airport - Gwagwalada

• 10-lanes expressways from AY - Maitama
- Kubwa - Zuba

• Cameroon-Ikom-Abakaliki-Enugu Highway

• East - West road

4) Abuja city rail system

5) Abuja - Kaduna modern rail system

I can go on and on and on . . . .

What kind of lies is this na?

People have to understand something about GEJ and the 2015 Elections.

GEJ is a good man but you can't run a country like Nigeria of you are too gentle, that's why alot of his guys used that opportunity to loot the treasury.

Regardless of America, Britain and French influence, the voting of underage voters in the North, alledge Jega conspiracy, it was obvious majority of Nigerians wanted a change of Government.

Reading through Jonathan's mind from the excerpts I realized that the law of homogeneity is truly strong; A man with victim mentality will also attract like-supporters.

Blaming everyone for his failure except himself .
Thank goodness I've never fall for his hypocritical antics in the past.

GEJ is simply a misfit and a mishap.

I see GEJ's dilema as a classic case explained below

The late Gbenga Adeboye (Legendary Yoruba Comedian of the 80s-90s) once related an ode on victim mentality. He likened it to a musician that rose to fame blaming and abusing everybody. He said if the person tries to sing another "Genre" of music, He will be a failure at it, so he advised that he should continue albeit on his "destructive" path.

He reasoned that he will blame and insult all his fellow musicians, he will blame and insult his family members, neighours and villagers. For want of further excuses, he will blame witches and wizards and all cosmic spirits. Not contented he will blame and insult Jesus Christ and even Mohammed...... and then end up in destruction

If God wants to punish a people for years of collective sin, he afflicts them with a terrible curse and that's what Jonathan was to Nigeria.
Our main challenge is for us to find out what we did as a people to be afflicted with Ebele Jonathan so as not to ever witness his likes again, because any further curse, even close to GEJ wud finally sink us as a country.

Nobody remembers that one of the greatest injustice of GEJ administration was the one he did to his people in the Niger Delta, not to mention the East that gave him their votes. A man who came to power for the sake of rewriting the injustice that has long been meted on his people, but after five years Niger Delta had nothing to show for it. The East West road OBJ started was not even completed, how about Port Harcourt Enugu Express way, was deplorable too. Not one single developmental project came to the Niger Delta, pls. remind me if any, even if GEJ does not apologise to Nigeria/Nigerians of his misrule, how about his people, for wasting their precious opportunity of bringing lasting development and ending the suffering of his people.

Okies after playing blame games can editorial board of punch newspaper do an excerpt of PMB too? But come to think of it; if PMB decides to try Jonathan, do u think he can stop there? Obviously other past leaders still living must have questions to answer from kuje prison, and do u think their zombie followers will use their brain to accept the trials as just cause and not start misbehaving.

N.B: Note that security operative that said he will kill 200 people if buhari dies, how can a man in the armed force ulter such a statement.

Thank God the "affliction" do not rise the second time.

Should we thank the devil that 'Buboo the super affliction' rose the second time. In 1984 and 2015?

An unrepentant bigoted jihadist brain cripple whose touch turned everything to dust whenever he comes to power.

You BMC guys like your principals are so shameless that two years into government GEJ is still the issue whilst APC got nothing to show for it not a single project aside fake corruption fight and media trials.

Tufiakwa to the establishment who believes they own Nigeria with nothing to show for it aside their almajiris, underdevelopment, illiteracy and power grabs to steal resources.

Guys like you won't be taken serious until you start speaking truth to power on the societal ills prevalent in the north against the underprivileged.

You spewing this shows you're either very bias or ignorant and have not been following events closely,
attacking other media outlets, I won't mind but not The Punch newspaper cos for me, they've been professional enough and I respect them
DLuciano:
All this bias news media, should park off, they're also part of Nigeria's problems. How many have been bold enough to speak out on Buhari mis rule that have further worsened the nation's economy? By the time buhari is no more in government, you will be shock to see the kind of poos they will vomit. I don't blame them, "he that pays the piper dictates the tune".

Jonathan is not a good man. The man is a thief and waster of resources. He is also very inferior . His main defence for being corrupt is that OBJ, IBB and Abdusalami were corrupt.
He plays this underdog victim card to deceive Nigeria's vision less youths
He will be the first Nigerian President to go to prison for corruption and it won't be Buhari that will jail him.
Those of you shouting on roof top about Johnathan been a thief, pls can you pin point out specifically where Johnathan cause any money to be criminally diverted or misappropriated for his personal use so that we too may understand, if you can't or don't, then surely you are just an incurable hateful person, yes Johnathan was weak in some aspects n made mistakes but is saint Messiah buhari any better taking away the media propaganda n wash up?.
