What is best is relative to each subscriber. It is not a universal experience. I use Glo and inspite of the occasional bleep ups I experience with them from time to time, I find Glo to be both cost effective and fast depending on location and whether I’m using it during off-peak hours.I’ve downloaded a 6 gig file with Glo (on 3g) and it took me just 3 hours because I did it during off peak period.

The thing with Glo is, when they’re good, they’re very good, but when they’re bad, they’re worse than the stinkiest s.h-i.t.

I have a love/hate relationship with them.

Exactly!

MTN data subscriptions in my zone is like sacrificing your money.

Glo is fraudulent... You never get to use the data till expiration. Oops I forgot... Glo brought a 4G mast less than 500meters from my apartment... But guess what? The Glo 4G and my phone's 4G don't speak the same language.

Etisalat non existent.

Airtel works occasionally but more consistently... However the data volumes are dubious.

My WiFi works whenever it's inspired to by the gods.
But MTN and Airtel outside Nigeria are super fast... What's wrong with the Nigerian network providers.
i think climate condition is among the poor output.

I quite agree with you because I use Etisalat. From Ajao Estate where I live, to Agbara Estate where I visit often, the Etisalat data performance is good.

The different networks are good in various parts of the country and bad in other parts. I think what we should do is to have a table showing each state and the strength of the various networks (bad, fair, good, excellent). Then a more detailed table for each state showing the different areas e.g ikorodu, ikeja etc for lagos state, this table will also contain the network strength for data coverage of all the metworks. This data can be collected from nairalanders and then shared on here to help people who are changing locations or traveling

Etisalat is the best in terms of service, strong signal etc. Only that it's more expensive and their data consumption rate is quite fast compared to others.

GLO has a slightly better spread but Etisalat more than makes up in quality.

Mtn doesn't allow hotspot on my iPhone 6S. This is crazy.
It does you just have to set it up. .took me a while to figure it out and I had to turn to the internet for help but eventually I got it. .google it.
And if you can't, holla. . .i'll explain it step by step.

Glo has almost the same rate with mtn now. The previous bundles have been halved for the same rate. Dial *777# to confirm.
ncc must have given the directive. if your plan hasn't expired and you were previously on the normal data plans before they halved it, you can still use same 3.2 GB for 1k. Glo sent a message concerning that.

glo still wants life to be easy I swear. na ncc directives wan make life hard ni
