HI House,

Please what is the current price of Palm oil in Ondo State? My supplier told me its now 9500. Is that true? Could it be that the price can't fall down again for the year?

Wao!!

My in-law tried for me. She supplied 20kegs of 25litres at the rate of N9700 to me yesterday (27-04-2017) evening inclusive of transport. She told me she bought without adding a kobo but I thought she deceived me. She equally supply 30kegs to someone in my area but at the rate of N10,500/keg. When she said this, I was like....see booboo.

Honestly, It's high time I contribute to this platform. I have been a follower of Nairaland for donkey years. Need to say, I have garned enough ideas, experience and insight especially on this trend of Palm Oil business. It is premised on this that I rent a store, construct some pallets and equally acquire a tank (5,000) litres storage capacity for Groundnut Oil on the other hand to start this lucrative business. Though not buoyant financially at the moment as I have spend a lot of money to put in place the aforementioned. I reside in Mowe but work in Lagos, I deliberately move to that area to start this business and I can see my dream coming true. I bought my first set of 20kegs of 25litres yesterday and I already have customers (end users) in my Banana Island office in Ikoyi waiting to buy from me.

I must commend the untiring effort of everyone that has in one way or the other contributed to my insight, need to say, you guys give me the courage.

From my market survey, readups and research everywhere. I can say now that price of palm oil has begin to rise up and if my assumptions and views are correct, it will rise beyond the market price of N23,000.00k which was sold sometimes last year. In view of these, I enjoin all to buy now and never wait till May because the price MAY never come down.

Thanks a lot for this thread, as ive learnt quite a lot here. However I'm still worried there is no sure way to detect adulterated palm oil. @donparosky ..pleased you are interested in supplying only qualityunadulterated products.

Please whats the cost per 25litres to supply to portharcourt...transport, container inclusive??
What will it cost with only transport without the containers?

thanks

Good day business men & women, please I need advice on this palm oil trade. I am new here and I am interested!

I intend buying 20kegs of 25litres kegs by the third week in May, hope is not too late. I want to store till the end of the year when the price is up. Kindly educate me on how to store palm oil for that long.

I will appreciate your response sirs and mas.

let me take this space... i will try to answer your question as much as i could but my brother you will still need the help of guru maraji in this profession... lol well the likes of @donparosky, @classictutor, @peeo et al.
now back to your questions;
1- yes it is not too late, though oil price have been lower than what is obtainable now but now is still better; because may is part of the surplus period... but then make hay while the sun dey hot.
2- yes for storage , firstly get a vacant space or a store, and the get a plastic or rubber tank, storex is good if you can afford one. but it must be plastic or rubber run away from iron or metal tank. and yes go for first grade oil, that is to say palm oil that has low water mixture.you will need the best palm oil that has higher shelf life for storage, then put planks between the storex tank and the floor. do not place the tank on direct cement floor. finally store your precious oil and wait for the ember months to walk majestically into the year for you to walk jelenkelly to your bank smiling.

Thank you for the details. Pls what is the highest price it can be sold in the ember months. Secondly, if I don't have a plastic tank, can I just place the 25litres kegs on the planks?

Happy new month to everyone! Just like I've been preaching since last year, this month is d last for storage or buying @ affordable rates. If uve been procrastinating, don't let this month go.
even for Palm Oil retailers, wholesalers, marketers, dealers etc, ensure u buy as much quantity that will take u for some time before the month is over.
Although we may hv fruits by August through October, the quantity and price is usually an issue then. Hope this will assist someone here. God bless our hussles.

On the same line palm oil dealers should resist from collecting money for supplies that they can not fulfil in the next two weeks, before you buy at loss or start telling stories of lack of cars for supplies
