President Buhari was represented by The minister of Labour and Employment, Dr Chris Ngige. When it was time for his address, the Labour Ministry Permanent Secretary was sent to address the crowd of workers in place of The President which the workers blatantly rejected with rants of "Noooo". The woman tried moving on with the address but was shut up by the crowd. Not even being cajoled by Labour leaders could stop them. Right now, chants of "we don win" can be heard all over the stadium. They are insisting to be addressed by the minister of Labour and Employment, Dr Chris Ngige as against his permanent secretary. Live on NTA Lalasticlala, Mynd44. Update, Adams Oshomole addressing the workers now. 2 Likes

Really a national disgrace. This is a microscopic representation of how Nigerians would revolt against the govt in the nearest future if things continue to remain the same. 63 Likes |

I have never seen Nigerian Workers so unified in the agitation for increase in minimum wage... This is the spirit we have all craved for, not the factionalization of the NLC and TUC by the Federal Government for their selfish interest to continue to enslave the Nigerian workers. When the people speak with one voice, even God from Heaven will listen to them. So, who is Buhari or Ngige or Oshiomhole not to listen to the cries of the masses? Nobody was created less than another, not even our politicians are above our collective resolve. If the Federal Government don't increase salaries today, I'm sorry to say that justice is dead in Nigeria. 46 Likes 5 Shares |

I noticed that the Minister of Labour, Dr. Chris Ngige is representing the President while the Permanent Secretary of his Ministry, Mr. Iloh is representing him in the same function. Whatever arrogance it is, he can represent President Buhari and still speak for himself if he is present at the occasion. The Nigerian workers have been fooled for too long! 32 Likes 4 Shares |
