The runway was in a bad state, thus, the state government donated N2Billion for the rehabilitation of the runway. Obviously the state stands to gain more if the runway is fixed, and that's why they donated. Haven't you seen state governments fixing federal roads, and asking government later for refund. That they donated the money, doesn't mean the airport is a state owned facility!

PS: Amaechi Was speaker of Rivers State House of Assembly under Peter Odili.

But Ameachi deny knowing of any construction on the said airport, Ameachi said he left with the money.. atleast if there's proof FFK should also come up with evidence...
