in the first place , u cannot compare a 2 engined medium category aircraft with a light weight single engined aircraft . therefor the comparison is not on equal grounds.

judge ur self
a 2 engined , MWF against 1 engined LWF , who do u think will win ?

jf17 can only be compared against similar category aircrafts like lca , t50 (s korean) gripen f16 etc

IMO 3 mig 29s r not going to make that big a impact unless they get really innovative like the Israelis against a larger no of aircrafts

low no of an aircraft types decreases the turnaround time after every sortie becz they will not have the required extensive support equipment's/infra in the first place . economically it does not make sense.

low persistence AD becz if 3 r airborne and then land back they will need to go through mandatory checks, refuelling re-arming etc , this will take more than 1 hour depending on infra available and technical capability.if an engine needs to be changed then god help them.

IMO atleast a squadron must be available to justify economic investment for necessary and reasonably quick time support and maintenance (manpower + infra).
