As a fresh graduate who just finished serving, there are 3 options available for you to choose from: get a job (mostly teaching jobs); go for your masters; or remain jobless (job search). If you get a job quickly, then you are lucky but if you are jobless then you are like most Nigerian graduates.

Because of lack of job, there is always this pressure to further your education- you don't want to remain home jobless and also some there is a myth that an MSc Cert is an added advantage (don't know if that is true sha).

To be honest, most of us wish to further our studies, and even become a Doctor, but the circumstances in Nigeria are jeopardising our dreams. I personally have decided that I won't go for my masters now because of the under listed factors:

1. Certificates are overrated:
it is now very obvious now that it is not by the number of certificates you garner that determines your success in life. We have seen drop-outs and people without formal education that are more wealthy and successful than scholars. People are making it now by learning new skills that will benefit the society.

2. Finance:
Unless you are from a rich home, it will be difficult for you to finance your masters. You need like 25k to buy only the form, you will pay tuition, buy books, get accommodation and so many other expenses. I know people that started but couldn't finish because of finance. People believe that at this stage you should be able to cater for yourself so you are on your own (OYO)

3. Age:
Most companies now recruits only graduates that are 26 years old and below despite the average graduating age from Nigerian Tertiary Institutions 24-26. So going for masters will add to your age and probably you will come back older which will limit the job offers you get.

4. MSc doesn't guarantee a Job:
They do say it is an added advantage but it is pathetic to me that even after the Msc you will still come back to send resumes, cover letters and also battle with some wicked dragnet aptitude tests. If it is sure that after my masters I will be offered a job then to enrol won't be a problem.

5. Frustration:
Nigerian educational system can be really frustrating; irregular academic calender; lack of infrastructures; some lecturers are not nice. e.t.c all these can discourage someone planning to go back.

Well, graduated last year. I don't think of doing Masters program yet. I make 400k+ a month via the Google Adsense program. for me it's a decent pay and there's really no need for extra stress, not right now. honestly, doing NYSC this year will be a big step back.

I'm sorry mehn, I don't reply PMs but let me be brief...
This is not really an internet business where you are affiliated with a company or sell stuff. it's basically getting paid by Google to place adverts on your videos/content.
Getting paid by Google is a process that requires a lot of time and patience. I've been doing this for 4 years now and believe me, it took a year to make my first $100. I own and manage 2 Youtube channels with a combined earnings of $1100+ a month now
So, if you have the patience, and the time too cos you have to sacrifice your time and internet, then you're good to go.
All you need is a Gmail account. that's all.

Not really,I know that Chinese Government Scholarship has to do with your packaging of your docs.
Between,2:2 graduates are eligible to apply in the ongoing NDDC Scholarship(Lots of 2:2 graduates are beneficiaries of this scholarship).There is also another scholarship spearheaded by some African Countries(I have forgotten the name),you can make your research.Cheers

My humble opinion,u are young,just finished nysc,my bro there is no job anywhere unless u have Grace and godfather.
My advise is if u have d fund and support,get a certification,and for those who think MSc is just a paper,sorry.
Nigeria is moving,we are certification-dependent.I found out after nysc,when I waka tire,nobody tell me.The job I get sef for Lagos,person wey no dey work better pass me.
Hence,I had 2 run back for MSC after I lost a well-paying job cos no MSc.I am presently rounding-off mine at the Premier Univ and am hopeful.A time will come in this country where Bsc will be equivalent to FSLC.
Get sth doing,if job no dey get certification esp if ur course is tilted towards ICT or Management,or if u have the resources,forget your thoughts and what other will say,go get an MSc.
People talk about scholarship,its cool,is it fully funded?No,do u have d resources to complete ur programme there abi u want to look up to the Nigerian Govt?ask others who are there.
Perhaps,go through TOEFL,its not always on the cheap,there are good schools that u can get an MSc in max of 2years.
No Pain,No Gain.
The things I know now,if I had known them after nysc,I wouldn't be running against time.But life first,there is hope.
