You go to Mexico to get cows...when you can get these cows from fulani herdsmen thereby causing them to have no reason to be in your state again. |

This Governor doesn't appear to be very bright. His focus should be on finding products in his State which are ripe for export. He is instead looking for a lazy way of siphoning foreign currency out of the system. Governments are not in the best position to run businesses, they can't even run their organizations efficiently. |

nnokwa042:I was going well with your write up, until you said I argue without sense! its alright! sensible purzon! the truth is that our nigerian politicians look for ways to loot... I have seen some healthy cows being reared by fulani herdsmen. .and ermmm who told you those gigantic swiss cows are pure breeds! see mr man, I don't care if you studied animal husbandry or zoology.. what I am saying is that over time fulani and hausa reared cows have been sufficient for the country so why now... MEXico! |

[quote author=o42austino post=56189157]OMG this project was sighted at ikono Offi, that place was my PPA during my NYSC service, I hope this project brings the government closer to Offi people and provide Road and Electricity for them which are not in existence, thanks to Chief Jerry Okpo because I know that without him that community can not attract this kind of project.... Thanks Offi people for your hospitality and love to Corp members even in the presence of abject poverty you guys insisted on giving to Corp members serving In you community, we in turn to show appreciation hosted the Offi kids to kids party and Carol of nine lessons during Christmas of 2015, you guys are in my Heart forever. [/quote) is Offi under Ikono or Uruan L. G. A? |

millhouse:Nothing of such will happen. Akwa Ibom is a peaceful state. Citizens are law-abiding, coupled with the fact that the Udom Emmanuel-led administration has created an enabling environment for business to thrive. This project will see the light of day. Governor Udom Emmanuel is a talk-and-do Governor. www.wetinhappen.com.ng |

nnokwa042:We are always turning everything upside down in Nigeria. Importing cows is not sustainable. I expect Akwa Ibom policy makers to do the following for sustainability, - Sign a MOU with Mexico to develop the state dairy sector. - Organise training for state farmers on artificial insemination program and dairy farming - Get exotic cows semen from Mexico through the MOU - Susbsidize the cost of the semen to dairy farmers accross the state - Have a ten year program of eliminating local cows in the state through artificial insemination. This is the blueprint that Kenya had with Holland for development of their dairy sector. Importing cows is just another hype that will die a natural death. We need a sustainable program and importing cows is not sustainable. |
