Hello gurus in the house, does a married couple who both have the same degree in computer engineering still claim point for partner's skill even if they don't have work experience in that field?
Partner points can only be claimed by an applicant if the spouse has gotten a positive assessment in an occupation on the same list as the occupation of the main applicant. The requirement of work experience is dependent on the accessing body of the respective occupation.

Please for those that have done EA assesment

The projects I used in my career episodes are from my internship (after graduation) and full-time employment with my present place of work. For the full-time employment, I have all documentary evidence such as bank payslips, employment letter, tax records e.t.c. However, for the internship period, I only have the letter of employment (signed and stamped) from the company, since it was kind of "free" as I was there to learn at the time before the employment opportunity opened up.

can I go on with the Assessment with these documents?

Don't leave out Reference letter for your full time experience. Check MSA booklet for more info.

One way you can do it is to transfer money to someone in Australia who has a Visa debit card and he/she will make the online payment for you....that is after you have uploaded every requested documents.

Thanks for your reply, EA does not require work experience as long as you are not claiming points for it.

There is no cost of filling an EOI, no documents required also, Visa fees and are to be paid after receiving the ITA. Then uploading of relevant documents follows after

Do they need address to show? I was thinking it's d main transcript record EA needs and not d cover letter. I hv asked my sch to send my transcript to my office .That way, I can scan the transcript ONLY without cover letter. Kindly advise.

I uploaded the cover letter along with the transcript to EA. The address was also included. it didn't affect my assessment. For the visa application, I ve edited out the cover letter as I dont think it's necessary. I really dont see any reason why the cover letter should be an issue

I was gathering the necessary documents, but, lately finds out my occupation (biotech) and other occupations its group has been removed.
During my NYSC days, I worked as a Life Science Technician in a University analyzing plant extract.

Questions for my ogas:

1. I am a PhD biotech researcher (1-2 semesters to go), can I apply as an agricultural consultant when all occupation opens in the new financial year by July? Note: My background is Biochem.
2. Can I use my NYSC in this case as a work experience for the agricultural consultant, I have no other experience than this, and my PhD is not a paid position? can this (NYSC experience) fly for VETASSESS evaluation? I can write my carrier episode to match any of the occupation I have mentioned.
3. If the answer to question 2 is yes. Considering the fact that there are two allowances earned during NYSC (Allowee and PPA), am I to use both or one of it? Note: My PPA salary alone was so small (5K) to be used in claiming its earned from the outline job, but I have my payment slips and I can as well get a bank statement.
4. Or should I focus on Life Science Technician/Science Technician?

Thanks to the ogas in anticipation.

Great people!

Help Needed.

I was about submitting my assessment application with CPA but was shown a payment page before I could complete the application.

The three Payment Options are:
1. Paypal
2. Credit card
3. Cheque.

Please what payment option can I opt for giving the below conditions which apply to me.

a) My card does not work on Paypal
b) My dollar mastercard is a debit card not a credit card
c) I have a buddy in Australia who is willing to assist but we don't know how he can be of help.

Appreciating your swift response in advance.

Hi good friends,

I applied for MSA in first week of march with EA,my assessor sent me a reply on 10th April that my university should send my transcript to him through his Engineer australia's office address in order to continue with my assessment.I had earlier sent student copy of my transcript in the application. My school(FUTO) has being on strike for a while.I have paid for the transcript but I cannot estimate when it will reach to them.A friend told me that I am only allowed to make response to EA via the portal once before decision will be made based on the response.I have been contacting EA through phone and e-mail but the assessor have not responded since about 3 weeks.I sent a mail to EA to inquire if I can send improve scan or a notarised copy and they replied 8 days ago that my assessor will respond to me shortly.

I want to get advice from the gurus or someone that has been in similar situation the best way to go about this.

#Anticipating your kind response.Thank you.
