Went online for solutions but best option was to call a panel beater. Small scratches but did the work.

Not just possible, it happens. An amplifier attacker opens cars in seconds. Just play with the radio signal (FM) and you done. Or use those old small phones with no camera but have radio, you are good. One key...

I haven't seen anyone open a car with these current phones but, it should be possible.

Meanwhile I've locked my self out of the car thrice. First two times I needed a panel beater. Last one I just strolled home and took the spare

I locked myself out once. In Dec. 2016 at the basement of Maryland mall. I had to call my panel beater. He saved me from the embarrassment.

Well, this is not a joke. U can try it if you have a car with remote control and distance is not even a barrier. Just call that person that has ur spare remote and make sure u are about a foot close to ur car and let the person that has access to ur spare remote control, while answering ur call press the unlock key of the remote control while keeping the remote very close to his/her cell phone. Ur car will be unlocked within 3secs.
It can work even if two of u r in two different countries.

It happened to me fam and mine wasnt a funny story at all. I'd just brought this sweet 05 Corolla, went to my Pastor's house, got there gate was locked, came down to knock on the gate, left ignition running, AC on chilling, windows firmly wound up (anybody remember 2015 pre/post election period when one yellow 25 litres gallon of fuel will fetch more attention than a 1kg gold bar? yep, this was the thick of the period fam)
My Pastor had to drive out to get his panel beater (I couldn't even call mine cos phone was in the car) while ignition was running and AC on. Every passing minute seemed like a sweaty hour. Finally they came and the guy used a flat wedge and screwdriver to work an opening from the door, then used a specially designed cloth hanger to press the central lock. I've never been happier to see a door open and an AC switched off. Till I sold that car I ALWAYS think twice before leaving my ignition on to come down. Funny enough o I felt a premonition to switch off that ignition before coming down but I ignored it...consequences of not paying attention to the Holy Spirit. Sadly there was a slight issue with that door hinge from that incident, very slight anyway so this is nor always a nice situation.

Like seriously? This experiment needs to be tested honestly.

My car will not lock with key inside the car. It can never and ever happen.

I'm very surprised that many car owners don't kw this trick.
Well, if you have a car wt good remote u can confirm this.

My keys were locked inside my Toyota Venza 2017. I had to call a panel beater who chiseled down the front door with an axe . I brought out my keys and locked the doors.

Then I woke up... Checked the time.. it was past 2 pm. I stood up from my wheel barrow in which I've been lying for 2 hours . I cursed under my breath as I wandered with my one-legged vehicle in search of my daily bread. As I navigated through the thick market , my curses changed to a sweet melody of whistle ... I shook my head as I whistled "In You I Trust" knowing that one day, the sun would shine on everything I did.
