In Education he built from the scratch the best public schools in Nigeria numbering hundreds and scattered in all nook and cranny of the state. the schools are equipped with ict facilities, library, sick bay, sports facilities like football pitch, basket ball court, volleyball court, etc. the schools are absolutely free with free school uniforms and books. No wonder the state attracted the UN book capital. In health he built over a hundred primary and secondary health centers well equipped and are absolute free for all. He subsequently employed and trained over 700 doctors to man the health centers. in human empowerment and job creation, he sponsored over two thousand youth for overseas scholarship and employed over 13,000 youths as teachers. In physical infrastructure he elevated the state from a state that barely has less than two carriage Roads to one with tens of dual carriage roads with street lights, sub drainage system and pedestrian walk way. constructed several bridges and interchange. In sports he built a sport village that will pass for international Olympic games with 40,000 stadium capacity, two standard volley, basketball court, two Olympic size swimming pool, etc. In power he added over 300mW of power to the national grid. In agriculture he employed thousands through Songhai farm initiative, Banana plantation, Buguma fish farm reputed as the largest fish farm in Nigeria, etc. other legacies include the greater Ph, first phase of monorail project, rainbow town and other housing projects.

I agree with the list.I could remember when ameachi was in PDP.he was the only governor they usually use to counter fashola of ACN then.I could remember nairaland thread like "Amaechi's port Harcourt".Immediately he tried to resist GEJ 16>19 permutations he became a bad governor to them.People are hypocrites.we will see truth 19>16 and we will be worshiping falsehoods 16>19.

those schools are all in Rivers may be you need to travel more. the foreigner you see their is one of the many indians initially contracted to manage those schools with a view of developing the local manpower

as much as I hate him Amaechi really did well as a governor in Rivers state. many families benefited in the teachers 13000 recruitment. he did a lot of roads, beautiful schools and hospitals, overseas scholarship and he rest. he really tried

False it a shame any of them are there only Fashola even that has alot of questions to answer dont settle for less. Leading or being a governor is more than just providing infrastructure you need to provide environment for business to thrive. Duke should have done more but he failed some part of Fashola managed to create jobs so I'll let him off however he was still lacking in many areas and in areas where he is a professional in. Many laws if he had introduced and made to work effectively would have changed Nigeria but he didn't follow it up.
