Nothing concerns them with my car purchase documents.

I added the Proof of ownership and Road Worthiness, just to avoid arguments leading to time delay, because some of our policemen are illiterates. They will always want to argue with you.

GBAM!!! These are enough for any sane policeman to ascertain your car is Legit.

But then, when you meet those criminals in uniforms along Benin-Ore express, only God will save you from the number of irrelevant documents they will be demanding, all in the grand plan to extort #200 from you.

Just add "police extract" to avoid those silly time wasters that normally hang out on the highway to extort motorists who they know are probably in a hurry to get to their destination.

Ran into them along the sapele - warri route. I didnot know what he was asking for and I refused to "settle". He then stopped another private car to prove that "every body get am"
On see the document I recalled seeing sometin similar among my purchase paper. After showing him the one I had. He smiled an ask "oga as I don show u this one so. Make u find me sometin na" I polietly replied that I dont have anytin for him. Entered my car and drove off.

However the owner of the car he stopped was arguing with his colleague about i and 1 were interchanged in the cars registration number. Those police guys are sharks out to devour gullible or unfortunate motorist

The necessary vehicle documents required to drive on Nigerian road are as follows :

Allocation of registration no,
Proof of ownership certificate,
Valid Vehicle license,
Valid Road worthiness,
Valid Certificate of insurance and
Cmr (central motor registry ).+ your driver's license

Identifying the original owner of a vehicle before purchasing it really doesn't make any difference since a vehicle could have been used by 2 or more persons before you.
What is important is when buying a Nigerian used vehicle, ensure you are giving all the original documents of the said vehicle which includes :
Allocation of registration no,
Proof of ownership certificate,
Current vehicle license,
A letter authorizing the licensing office to effect change of ownership to you, and
Reciept of purchase. These are the most important as they are the requirements for change of ownership.

This is very true.
If you have collected your temporary driver's license, then you shouldn't have any business with learner anymore. This is because, it is expected that before you obtain your driver's license, you should have gone through an accredited driving school in which at the point of graduation, an e certificate would have been given to you which satisfies you as a driver before applying for your license. Even at the point of capturing for the license, most centers carry out driving text to ascertain your driving ability.

Hence it's either you are driving with learner with a driver by your side , or you are driving with your driver's license by your self.
