Buhari was not part of the coup then, He was called by some officers that could not trust IBB, Abacha, Dikko etc then because of corruption..

You kind of say a lot of things u aren't very sure of:
1. Lt Col Buka Suka Dimka was not an Igbo man. He was from the north.
2. 1976 coup wasn't a successful coup. It was an abortive coup because it was aborted by the supreme military council and the officers that led the coup didn't finally get into power but were even executed, which Dimka was among. Just as 1966 coup was an unsuccessful coup. U need to consult military documentaries so that u will get clearly the difference between successful and unsuccessful or abortive coups. 1975, 1983, 1985, 1993 coups were all successful coups.
3. Junior officers didn't plan the 1983 coup but the coup was actually planned by senior officers in the persons of Maj Gen and Brig Gen IBB, Ibrahim Bako, Sani Abacha, Tunde Idiagbon etc.
4. Some officers didn't call Buhari to come and head the government because they didn't trust IBB and Abacha, but, it was even IBB and Abacha that called Buhari from when he was GOC Jos, to come head the government.
Not to support or oppose ur argument but I would like to suggest that u always get ur facts right while presenting ur arguments.

The only thing u can accuse him of in the course of that coup was accepting to head the government that truncated the democratically elected government. That's the main thing his opponents think he is guilty of. Cos, he could have stayed away from the coup and its dividends by rejecting that offer of being the head of state.

There was corruption in Shagari's government, same way there has been corruption in every other government in Nigeria. But u don't overthrow an existing elected government just because u sensed corruption, if not, obasanjo's, Jonathan's and this present government should have been or would all be overthrown. Coup is a crime, it's never legal, it's an offence in the army, ordinary mutiny also is, let alone coup. He could have rejected that offer because that coup truncated a democratically elected government. Accepting that offer made him a supporter of that crime.

If you believe the bold part of your post, that Aguiyi who didn't plot a coup, didn't participate but rather had power trust upon him was responsible for truncating a democratic government and then goes ahead to state that Buhari who was called upon by IBB and Abacha and co was not part of the coup that overthrew Shagari, then I don't know what other definition of HYPOCRISY that can be given.
