A man has money and keeps it all in his account while psyching the girlfriend, fiancee or even wife by saying" what is mine is yours baby" yeah right! Can she withdraw from it and if she keeps asking all the time will you like it? Why dont you just give her a share so she knows she has HERS!.

Same way some buy cars for their wives in his own name.

It works both ways. If you really want your partner to have access to (your)funds, it should be 'unrestricted'.

Being one AFTER MARRIAGE doesn't mean that you should hand over all what you have to your partner, unless you know 110% that she is an INTELLIGENT EDUCATED woman.... A GF is still on trial period and can only be upgraded after marriage (if she is a wise intelligent person).

If wifey is unemployed, then she has no reason to have access to a working person's account, and a separate account with a debit card should be opened for her, where an allowance will be deposited every months. If she desire MORE money, advise her on how best to be gainfully employed so she A) understand how hard it is to get a decent salary, and B) spend it all on any rubbish shopping she desires

I totally think the men should provide allowances for their partners. Regardless of their marital status.
Its not about milking the man dry or anything but something that would assist in her immediate needs...I personally hate the idea of always having to ask...infact I don't know how to ask for money from a guy

You mean a man should place even his girlfriend on ALLOWANCE? Is he F.G?

I thought you were talking about men that hide money from their wives while claiming they're one. I'm just seeing the girlfriend and fiancee _ how many girlfriends and fiancee(s) would he place on allowance? It's okay to give when he wants to, but allowance is a bit extreme to me. It's good you don't know how to ask, you should know how to hustle then.

If a lady has a JOB, she wouldn't have to "ask" her man for anything... A begging/nagging partner can only be helped by getting her a damn job.

BTW: by the time kids go to nursery/schools, there are NO INTELLIGENT REASON why a wife should stay home watching telemundo all day long.... NONE!!!

Even with the allowance, they will still ask. So what's the point of the allowance?

My friend is actually going through this and she doesn't work because her husband blatantly refuses to allow her. I was so upset when I heard this and hence my post. She would LOVE to work, she is educated and has her Masters.
It just seems like she is being punished to me. Give her an allowance monthly...

That's different.... In such situation where husband prohibits wifey from having a job (aka enslave her home for jealous reason etc) then this lady Has all the rights to demand for the allowance SHE desires. If hubby doesn't want to, then he should let her have a job.
