Saw a thread where someone was looking for directions to get to Zaria from Lagos, specifically NCAT Zaria.

Called up my connects who informed me that there was an aptitude test for today 17th May, 2017 and it was strictly for the high and mighty in Nigeria.

I followed up this evening with someone I asked to 'gate-crash' who reliably informed that attendees received invites or text messages to attend. Those with text messages had invites with their names already prepared waiting for them. 'Gate-crashers' were kicked out after asking "who you be?, who send you? etc etc" with some talk of organising another test for them. Attendees were people with connects to ministers, senators et al (based off of eavesdropping on calls they received).

What bothers me is that previously, everyone was invited and they inserted their people along with some 'regular/normal' people. But this government seems not to care what anyone thinks as they blatantly exclude 'regular/normal' people and exclusively 'invite' their people as was the case with CBN, FIRS and other agencies.

What are we to make of these?

If Nigeria was a human being, she'd probably be bedridden or seriously sick. Corruption has become a normal way of life in this country, people are praying to be in government so they can at least "chop their own".

Some people will come here now and tell you that all the people invited wasn't through connection, that they got invite without knowing any senator or politician.

if it's NAMA, don't worry yourself... thats what they know how to do best.

I am not a bigot ooo, but I can't forgot my NAMA experience when Nnamdi Udoh was one in-charge, and Stella Oduah was the Aviation minister.

One thing I know is that some tribes, (expecially those always crying foul and claiming they are marginalised) would do worse when they are in charge or have opportunity to be close to power.

I really don't know why the OP is surprised by this. This is now the normal thing in Abuja. They never advertise vacancies but they only undertake secret recruitment/replacement.
Thanks to the useless youths in Nigeria screaming APC/PDP. Supporting useless politicians who are only there for their pockets and relatives. Politicians uniting to loot the country, jerk up their budgets, secure juicy jobs for their kids and relatives while the silly youths are divided along party and ethnic lines.
FCSC, FIRS,PEF, CBN, NNPC and other good jobs are secured for their kids while they leave NPOWER to the masses. Even if they mistakenly announce vacancies trust it is only formality as the people who will be recruited know themselves.
This country is dead and there is no solution in sight. During these recruitment process the Northerners seem to dominate every list from the DSS to FCSC etc.
Please don't get met started on when this started even under PDP this act of favouritism and nepotism was the norm. APC is PDP, PDP is APC no difference.
Stupid Youths/Citizens who only know how to react on Nairaland and Twitter. Useless and foolish politicians.

It is so sad that if you don't have somebody at the top, there is no job placement for you. Corruption is not only when you steal money but also when you deny people from benefiting from government vacancies.

when I saw that thread, I asked the guy about the recruitment, but he never replied. I stay in zaria, so I wanted to gatecrash. I called some1 that works at NCAT to enquire about it, and he said nothing like that is going on. Are you sure they wrote apptitude test yesterday ?

Dude, I mentioned in my post that I have several eyes and ears there...live! Call that someone again and let him go to NAMA office himself.

I am not surprised that their stooges are here to discredit this. For the avoidance of doubt, my family lives in Zaria. My Dad was retrenched from NCAT, I attended primary school inside NCAT, so naturally I know a lot of folks who work and live there, including two close personal friends who work in NAMA. One of them said nothing was happening. The other said he walked into the office a day before the test date and met one of the candidates who just arrived with a letter for their Oga and that was how he knew something was happening. My other guys who all work at NCAT were not aware until I informed them. The so-named 'gate-crasher' is actually my one and only younger brother. So there you have it. If you like, don't remove your head from the sand. While you are 'busy' doubting the story, letters of appointment are being served.

NB. I tweeted both the Acting President and the Senate President on this issue. I think I have played my part...others should do same and just maybe we might get some traction on this.

Honestly, I admire your view and action. If the youth can just ignore the useless rantings on social platforms and focus that strength on getting things right. we will all be better for it.will also add to that too on twitter
