pls if you know you can't socialize or train big guard dogs properly. Just get a Samoyed or something smaller to avoid stories that touch

In saner climes, there is a law called Dangerous Dogs Act that requires such dogs to have a cage like barrier guarding their mouths to prevent them biting in a public place.

Also in civilised countries, whenever a dog bites a human, the dog is put down (i.e humanely killed by lethal injection) by the authorities to prevent a recurrence from a dog that already has a taste for human flesh.

I disagree. This calls for proper investigation, as the farmer had the dog for a period of 3 years. Rotts' are notoriously loyal to their handlers, so determining what went wrong might go a long way to educate dog owners on the do's and dont's of large breeds.

BTW, there are no bad dogs, only bad/careless owners.
