mbhs139: You are seeing clearly. 28 plus .3 times 72 is 49.6. Hahahh. Just say that Intel's and govt take equal shares. A shame ! .7 times 72 is 50.4. Thata govt cumulative share. 50.4 vs 49.6 of Intel's. But its prolly easier to say '28 and 70-30'. Your brain Is active. They could not.fool you. Thumbs up ! 2 Likes |

SalamRushdie: I can't believe that as a Nigerian, you have to take a crap on this thread. Bro, you are spilling poo here. The said company you are siding is milking that sector dry. Haba! 28% + (30% of the remainder)! This shows a high level of absurdity. Not only that, they build and operate over 11 berths in several ports bro! This has got to stop! Let them comply with the TSA policy, their loan commitments with those commercial banks is not our concern here...They should settle it and comply. Ahahn, since 1982! This is serious! Why won't we bleed in this nation? 3 Likes

jerseyboy: He is not collecting revenue from government constructed terminals but one built by him on behalf of the government. It is a PPP Obasanjo tried pulling them out of the business and discovered it wasn't that easy as they are so core to the operation of the oil industry He built Onne and if they are going to disengage Him they are going to have to hand him loads of money that the country might go broke and yet he will still be in business Intel's fear is genuine ....This is not contract of road ...A day's abandonment of site cost millions. Let them have their share and government share transferred into TSA before government people politicise their operations....Support us and get your money ...run against us and be left dry even though you have done your part of the deal |
Re: NPA Moves Against Atiku’s Intels Over TSA Policy by Themandator: 1:22pm On May 20, 2017 |
Einl: They constructed the terminals so the first part is for the recoup of their financial involvement in the construction while the second would account for their operations of the terminals ....Your government didn't invest any kobo nut only gave them the right to build Onne and they ain't running it forever |

You cannot climb down on every opposition. Allow Atiku to go after his political ambision. Let your performance sell your products. If you are incompetent, work harder to improve but do not disturb those who are intelligent and competent. |

Either you like it or not, INTELS is doing a very outstanding Job in Onne. You need to know what the port was like before Intels became its operator. What Federal government could not do, a privately owned company in the mould of INTELS services is doing. You want the port to become a shadow of itself in less than 1 year then take away the management from Intels. SMH for NPA. It might seem as rip off but I tell you it is not, they are simply rendering value added services, one NPA herself could not render for decades while on charge. Intels has subsidiaries like, prodeco , WAS, WAM, WACT. They also have an ICT company. Come to Onne and see the wonder they did at PRODECO CAMP: This is the accommodation lot specially for Expatriates and expert/professional locals. I have been previledged to be accommodate here. You would think you are away from Nigeria. By the way I work right in Onne, so I know what am talking about. NPA handle this with wisdom, YES to COMPLIANCE to TSA POLICY, but do not dream of taking over the management of the Onne Port. I make money legally, I smile home daily. Its called wise work. Yes I believe in hardwork. But now I believe more in smart work. To know more check my signature. My Target: To make 20M on or before December 2017. So help me God. 2 Likes |

Maxymilliano: Don't mind the cave man. Let him go to government operated Apapa ports and see whether he can crawl in and out under a truck broken down by bad infrastructure. Whether by hook or crook, the Intels port remains the best in Nigeria by a country mile. Same thing they did to hound Bi-Courtney out of business while laying claim to the best airport terminal in Lagos. Where are the antagonists - FAAA and its poodle Arik Air today. Nigerians have a natural disposition to disorganisation and mediocrity. Instead of helping the likes of Intels grow to attract further investment, their greed wants to crush it by all means. What is government's business owning and running ports. Nonsense people. 2 Likes |

springtech: It is called the Obasanjo phenomenon. He and Murtala singlehandedly disinvested and demarketed Nigeria with their so called Nigerianisation policy. Pushed away foreign owned businesses without capable local replacements. Today they are burning scarce foreign exchange looking for foreign investments back into the economy. What is the result. Rent seeking everywhere and the crumbs for 'contractors'. While other countries are opening up new modern ports and free trade zones we just love the congestion, chaos and rowdy motorpark ambience of Apapa and Tincan ports so that in the murky turbulence corruption can thrive. They should carry their TSA and get lost. They have done enough damage to the likes of Tinapa and other trade zones and countless investments all over the country. |

Themandator: The whole thing is so freaking annoying. They should just collect their taxes and royalties and get the hell out of there. Why should they tell a private organisation where to bank its income. They want them to jump hoops all the way to the CBN so when they get frustrated they will begin to offer bribes. When Nigeria is ranked so poorly in the chart of business ease, these are the factors. Which bank will want to advance them credit now knowing it might not recoup timely. You took away government funds from banks and it is not enough, you are eyeing the one you share with the private sector. Rubbish. |
Re: NPA Moves Against Atiku’s Intels Over TSA Policy by Reference(m): 3:45pm On May 20, 2017 |
Themandator: People don't even know how these things work. They don't know that port operators lobby land side and ocean side. They go round to sell their ports to sea freighters worldwide and clearing companies land side and sign long term contracts. That is the only way they make money. It is a long term commitment. A closure of that port will send shockwaves down the entire oil and gas sector and for a country with little in the way of alternate infrastructure it will hot us badly. Once again, the Obasanjo phenomenon. You will be completely stupid to let go of one branch before grabbing another. 1 Like |

mbhs139: my broda u r seeing clearlyooo! after reading that part my body weak me! the useless man chops 28% of the overall money then still deep his hands in the government potion and collects 30% out of the governments 72% now leaving the whole nation with only 42% and a single man now swallows and overall 58%! damn it! we are talking of trillions of Naira per quarter here! now same thing is done to oil revenue, power and energy revenue, tax revenue and other revenues that is suppose to sustain dis country! this people are soooo greedy and wicked! this is why the northern leaders dont want a structured Nigeria - a structured Nigeria to them is like removing the milk nipple from their elitist mouths! this country need to be divided ASAP! |

mbhs139: Please, enlighten me brother. I do not seem to understand this MoU clause too. Does it mean from the revenue collected, Intel keeps 28% of it for their effort. Then of the remainder of 72% which should go to Fg, they get to pocket another 70% of 72, and Fg gets a paltry 30% of the 72. I'm just too confused to believe this is the case. Fear say dey catch me, I can't even think straight again. For a port that makes hundreds of billions per year. Please someone explain if this it true and also tell me what Intel does exactly at the port? Edited: Okay, having read some post on this page, I do not have the historical background to this contract. Some saying Intel got licence to build and make functional the port, and the concession ends at a later date. But, why hold on to the Fg part of the money only to lay claims to some financial and banking intricacies Remit the damn money, some of these VAT collections agent also use same tactics. |
