Good evening nairalanders. My name is khaleed.... A final year student of FUTA..I've been battling with acne since 2014..Although mine is mild acne(not that severe) it has really hindered me from approaching ladies I like... Honestly I'm tired of the single life and want to get out of that zone... My question is... Is it possible for a girl to date and love a guy with such condition.... NOTE:I'm not financially buoyant!

Hello Khaleed, first of all go get a cure for your acne, before looking for who to love you. Truth is, nobody want to behold ugly sights here and there. Acne is curable.

1.Eating less or completely eliminating refined sugar, this will be a challenge for you but reduce the consumption of white rice and white bread. Fried foods included I am not saying live a miserable life but a little avarice might be in order
2. Excessive washing of the face with soap is not going to reduce or get rid of the acne it will make it worse and so will picking and "popping" the acne will only cause it to be infected.
3. Treatment for mild acne is any facial products that have Benzol Peroxide Noxzema, Clean & Clear or Clearex
It's best to start using the products when you are on holiday as the old skin will peel.
If you have infected areas this treatment although unorthodox is effective Tetracycline eye ointment applied directly on to the infected areas does help but again donthis when you are away from many people.
Finally about your love life, when you work on your confidence and feel better within your outlook on life in General. You will meet someone just give yourself time don't be so hard on yourself.
