"Remember, Kano is now paying, and they pay at the end of the service year for those that served in government schools. Don't in a bid to serve in town, choose private schools that pay nothing."... @Mrphysics, that statement no dey clear abeg. Please rephrase for better understanding. |
Re: Kano State Corps Members 2017 Batch A Stream 1 by mrphysics(m): 12:44pm On May 21, 2017 |
Unluckrees:Don't in your quest to go to the town end in a private firm. Most persons regretted serving there at last when others were paid their state allowance once. I served in Kano State polytechnic, and we were paid 2k/month. For ten months with them, we were paid N20k, but state will pay 60k. So relax and don't try to force your way to the town |

Thanks so much MrPhysics for trying to help out with corpers, shows you really like the state. I just want to find out if you have an idea of where lawyer corpers are posted to as PPA. On a lighter note, I followed your Kano experience from day one but I don't think you concluded the story of the Hausa girl you were asking out, I'm interested in that story abeg |

zamanii:Lawyers are posted to ministry of Justice where they do nothing as usual. There is no case to settle save Emir Sanusi's case. Lol. You can also be attached to the legal unit of a local government, depending on the request for core members. Generally, ministry of justice is your best bet. Secondly, the Hausa girl agreed, and even got to the point of trying to marry her because she was focused on marriage. I was a graduate assistant in Kano State Polytechnic, and I taught over 300 students. Well respected and perhaps known, I got so many green lights but I focused on her. So she insisted that I must meet her parents and before I do, I MUST be in same religion with them. So, and it's not possible. So I had to leave her in Kano with the love too as I head back to Enugu. Also, we couldn't meet elsewhere save in school, because only the parents could give me the right to their house, and before they do, I must first answer the question, "Which religion". I wanted to form Muslim, but then, they might ask me to pray, and to recite some certain Quran, or even perform ablustion. After due considerations, I realized it wasn't enough to change religion or to get into........ So I gave up and left. 1 Like |

mrphysics: Seems like you truly loved her but that's life though, you win some and u lose some. Regarding where I would be posted, I hope not to be posted to a place where I would be redundant. What if I know someone that can help so I can be posted to places like a court, corporate affairs commission or an NGO, would that help? |

zamanii:Lawyers are given different attention. You guys case is different. So I wouldn't know who will help to get you there since you might be very few in the camp. Secondly, not like there was much love, I was writing a story, and needed to go deep even into issues of getting married to one. I want to know their culture, what is required to get a wife and how their ladies truly behave regarding marriage. If you are educated, speaks fluently in English and Hausa, then you will get the most beautiful girl. Though almost all of them are pretty. Everything I did was because of my story. I didn't have much emotional commitment. |

mrphysics: Oh good to know. I can speak Hausa fluently although I'm not one but I intend to use it to my advantage career wise not cos of the ladies. Most importantly, how much does a standard house cost for rent i.e a house thatis self-contained and has it's kitchen, toilet and bathroom inside? |

zamanii:Welcome sir. Do have a nice service year and I wish you the best. In kano, they do have this land issues, so I would advice that you constantly visit court and seek to help out. With your fluency in the host language, you do stand a better position to earn huge in Kano. If not, i think you should consider doing some freelance work. I have a friend who is a lawyer serving in Kano State ministry of Justice. And I think he is doing well. |
