These meetings are good but it'll be a waste of time if it's all talk No action. After the meeting, I expect political leaders of SE to approach Udom and ask him how much it'll take to construct that bloody ibom deep seaport. A plan for all the SE states to contribute financially to see the project is ready by 202.. Im not ashamed to say that We really need the SS ( access to the sea) for economic partnership. Construct at least 6 lane tolled highway with rail lines that'll connect the whole SE states. The Igbos can call on their sons and daughters in the diaspora to help with the funding or rather investment. Last year, Nigerians in diaspora sent over $30 billion home. I'm sure atest 30% of that money came from Igbos (It maybe more or less). An Igbo diaspora investment fund can be setup and managed by reputable company for the purpose of this. If it's against our constitution, Ike Ekweremadu should lead other NASS members from SE zone to lobby to pass new laws that open up Nigeria. 4 Likes 1 Share |

If Igbo, a majority ethnic group with ministers and federal presence, is crying of marginalisation, what would the Urhobos, Ijaws, Binis, Esans, Ibibios, etc, do? There is a tendency for Igbos to think the world revolves around them. This is why they should have their own Biafra and leave minority ethnic groups from it! 1 Like |

banmee: Please do not aggregate the south. I am sure you meant to say the north and the south west. Four scenarios: Its either the Igbo becomes the president of Nigeria under the present arrangement whether you like it or not. Restructuring of Nigeria so you can play you own diplomacy and politics the way you always loved it Tear Nigeria apart and each part go its own way Nigeria will be thrown into a major conflagration There is nothing like diplomacy and political gaps to describe the plight of the Igbo in Nigeria today. That was a fake and mischievous script; just like a lion teaching its prey best ways to avoid a lions attack. The plight of the Igbo is built on the wicked connivance of the Yoruba and the Hausa to take charge of Nigeria to the exclusion of all others. It is not tenable and it is in its last days. I can assure you. 4 Likes |

GoodBehave: Exactly. It is up to Nigeria to maintain its unity, not the present thought that Nigerians should beg to be part of Nigeria. If an association cannot support the aspirations of all its members then splits are inevitable be it associations of sports, business, leisure, professionalism or politics. I mean the PDP could not listen and address the concerns and yearnings of all its members and so a group formed the nPDP later joining the APC. It is so ironic that those who hailed that move fault the aspirations of others for self determination. What is the difference. 1 Like 1 Share |

The I BEFORE OTHERS are now crying fire where there is non and when the head is off it will be too late to cry. They should go back to history and recollect what they did to destabilise the forward moving old Western Region under Pa Obafemi Awolowo , recollect "Daily Times" caption "DON'T GO TO THE WEST Mich. Okpara former governor of the Eastern Region warned his reply then was I WILL GO TO THE WEST this was during the Action Group party crisis of 1962. the resultant effect was the declaration of the state of emergency which led to the restriction of Action Group party leaders led by Awolowo from one dungeon to the other that led to the imprisonment of Obafemi Awolowo for 10 years in 1963 which eventually led to the "Operation Wetie" of 1965 and subsequent I BEFORE OTHERS coup of January 15 1966. So , never will any South Westerner that knows what the I BEFORE OTHERS has caused Yoruba Nation will ever think of having anything to do with the agitation for BIA_FRAUD. |

at last reasonable people are coming to deliberate on issues. i am igbo but i will continue to say that the igbos are not ready for a sovereignty. The group should plz concentrate on fair treatment of the igbos, referendum, and restructuring of the south eastern part of the country. Though an independence would have been a wonderful idea but trust me, we igbos are not jst ready for it! 2 Likes |

Anambra 2009 elections had 43 very strong contenders, 2013 had 23.... mind you this is just one state in the east, now merge the whole igbos and create a nation, Hausa people choose one candidate and rallied behind him, but igbos every man na igwe for him house ... even if they form their own nation there will be bitter power tussle no doubt 1 Like |
