What is the difference between net income and profit?
I understand your point but in accounting, net income and profit are not the same. Profit could be profit before tax or profit after tax.
Net income = Revenue - Expenses - Tax

Please, some one should respond to my issue. Thank you
Amibekee:
Good morning house, I want to apply for 6 months UK visa to spend my vacation. I have visited the uk twice with my parents without overstay or any other issue. I work now but my gross pay is 76000. My aunty who is a UK citizen will take care of my accommodation and feeding , but my father is sponsoring the trip.
Kindly tell me the required documents and how to go about my application as my personal account balance is not sufficient to take care of my trip.

Also, when best should I apply as my official leave is in August 2017.
Thanks

Morning House,

Nice and informative thread, Please I need answers to the following questions will be glad if justwise or anyone else can provide it

1. What is the most affordable and easiest transportation from London Gatwick to Liverpool

2. Documents needed to present at POE (Going for PLAB exam) and how friendly are CBP officials at Gatwick

3. What are the things (food or clothing item) I can travel with to reduce cost of buying things over there since I wont be working

4. How much can one budget excluding accommodation for staying up to 3months in a place like Liverpool

N.B: Couldnt find another thread that answer this questions, i know they are not really visa related. Any advise will be appreciated. Thank you.

Hello All,
I am just about to apply for a visa for my Mum. She just renewed her passport and I was just about to create an application for a 5 year visitor visa and just wondered if it's possible to have a 5 year visa on a 5 year passport. Passport expires in April 2022 and a 5 year visa applied for in July would be valid to July 2022. Anybody have such an experience? Do you know if this is possible?

Thank You and Regards

1. Affordable - Megabus or National Express (check their website for prices for those days), easiest would be by flight. In the middle are trains (check virgin trains website, londonmidlands or thetrainline for prices). You will need local transport like a taxi service or via the underground because it is kind of out of town. There will be several stops and change overs.

2. Don't know the docs for it but you can present whatever will show that you are writing the exam. Gatwick is usually friendly. Used there only once. It would have been easier to come through Manchester. They are very friendly and you can catch the train straight from the Manchester airport to Liverpool, no changes. Manchester doesn't even check for foodstuff so you can bring all the foodstuff you want.

3. Noodles, provisions, clothing, shoes, toiletries. If not a furnished apartment, you will need pots/bedding etc. Bus system is good and there's UBER as well as their own DELTA taxi.

4. If you come in when students are on long break, you can get cheaper student accommodation in town. I don't really know much about accommodation as i usually stay with friends.

Yes, it is possible. When your passport expires, you travel with the old and new one. Zero issues.

HELP

I am currently on Tier 4 visa and I got a job, switching to Tier 2 visa. My employer asked to fill the Certificate of Sponsorship form and I was asked to choose between 5 or 3 years visa. My question is that:

1. Which one should I choose?

2. Does Home Office normally grant 5 years visa at first application.

This is urgent as I need to send the form back to my sponsor/employer tomorrow

Choose 5 years.
You wouldn't need to bother about renewal.
One of my colleagues chose 5 years and he got it. Wish I did too.

Good morning all. I'm a little new to this thread. I am in the process of applying for a British visa and at the end of my application I was told that there is an additional fee that comes with applying at the VI location. I was not told how much this fee would be, or where I can find out. If anyone who has applied for visa recently has any information on the extra fee for the VI location, please let me know as a matter of urgency. Thank you in advance.

Not too sure but just have 50-60k on standby to avoid stories that touch because if you don't pay, you won't be allowed in.

3yrs visa as first timer and 5yrs when the 3yrs expires

No, that's not correct.
You can either get a 3 year visa first and then 2 years afterwards or a one-off 5 year visa. After this, you apply for Indefinite leave to remain.
This is for Tier 2 General visas.

You can't stay on this visa longer than 5 years in total.

You mean under 6 months you have made a profit of 2.3M? And you work full time and earn 50K a month?

It's a cooperate account not my personal account, in my earlier enquiry I said I was denied visa in 2015 based on financial strength, I used my Personal Alc nd I work with state Govt. On a salary scale of 50k, BUT now I operate a registered Business which I intend to use the company's A/c to travel. And I have a closing bal of 2.3m

I think the guy stated NET INCOME but not net Profit.

1. You could have as balance as much as available since its a Corporate Account jes be sure it's enough (50% of such bal) to cover your expenses for the duration you will be in the UK
2. You registered a year after you were refused, you shouldn't be worried about that
3. All the Company CAC Registration docs., your coy profile, evidences of job/work/services done/tendered, everything that link you with the company. Above all, 2letters on your coy letterhead stating Resolution for you to embark on the proposed vacation AND another Introducing you, offer to sponsor the trip, and who is designed to take charge while you will be away
4. Why not since you are still in service of the government. State for future purposes; you may need to use this employment for some reasons.......
You could only limit your involvement in your company as part time or strictly shareholder
5. No you don't. I had secured UKVisas with 1year+ coy without Tax Clearance Certificate

Thanks A lot, this is just the information I need, u re the best
Thanks again.

All the best

If you are using that account for visa processing then you have a hell of job to convince the ECO that the 2.3M is your net profit from a 7months old business and available for the trip.

I acknowledge my mistakes with regards to applying for 5yrs after 3yrs visa, was meant to say 2yrs after 3yrs visa making it 5yrs.

Though i'm not sure about applying for 5yrs directly especially when you have 3yrs or less employment contract.

1.National express is the cheapest

2. The same set of documents you submitted during your visa application

3. If you are going to be cooking your own food then take food items you eat in Nigeria but if you are going to be eating out then it will depend on your eating habit

4. On economical level you will live happily ok with £400-£500.

Hi guys,
Thanks for the good job u guys are doing here.
I have a colleague at work who was refused her visa application today. Reason: you state that your name is ***** and that you have never been known by another name. You have submitted a birth certificate which states that your name at birth was recorded as *****. I am satisfied that you have been previously known by another name and that you have not declared this in your application.

No right to appeal or Admin. review.
She made a mistake in not understanding that when u get married, she should have chosen yes to the question ''if you have been known by another name in the past''.

Question I how does she explain this in her future application and how soon can she reapply. Thanks guys.

Greetings to you all.

Please I need your advise.

I work with globacom as a permanent staff and on just over 2m annual salary paid monthly. We get paid 70% at month end and then 30% begging of the following month pending your performance. The payslips gets delayed a lot. latest I have is december2016

My sister is a British Citizen and is inviting me to UK to for a visit her family and also meet her son who will be turning 2 during the period I'm being invited .

It's been years since I last saw my sister and I really want to go visit them. But I dread visa applications.

We have 2 options, either I sponsor myself or my sister sponsor's me.

I have about 1.5m naira in my acc . Globacom will be giving me a letter of recommendation which will also confirm my period of leave.

My main issue is the fact that The earliest payslip I have is December 16 . But I have my offer letter and can produce bank statements which shows monthly payments from globacom.

Will this (offer letter which shows my salary etc, bank statement showing salary and recommendation letter from globacom be enough to probe my employment and income?

Also can my sister sponsor me? Is that better? Or should I sponsor myself ?

I was told my salary is too low and that it will be difficult to get a uk visa based on that . I'm being advised to ask my sister to go sponsor instead.

Please my people , what's the best way forward? My sister has sufficient accommodation so I will be staying with them. And she has a very good job so can sponsor .
I rather not apply than get a refusal cos I did the wrong thing.

Please help.

Dude why would you want to spend 3 months in the UK just to write an examination? Have you imagine the cost of staying in any paid accommodation for 3 months without income? Pls stick to your visa terms or you will have problems in your next UK visa application.

My advise will be for you to sponsor yourself if you have the fund and allow your sister to support with accommodation only. You can get your employer to attest to the absence of past payslips. The ECO might view your sister footing all the bills as lack of home ties since you're not a minor.

She should simply correct the mistake in her new application. Then include a cover letter to ECO that reason for the last refusal has been rectified. She should include documentation showing her previous names as well as her current name (sworn declaration of change of name)

Thanks ekpotek. You made a good point. I do have I believe I have sufficient funds to sponsor myself. But the payslip issue has been quite worrying . If you know these so called big organisations in Nigeria, you will know it's extremely difficult to get them issue certain departments to issue you with a letter. In this case will be finance to produce a letter supporting my lack of payslips. I'd already spoken to them .

Just don't know what to do.

For the PLAB exam it is required to stay 6weeks minimum for academy tutorials and afterwards for GMC registration and all this was stated during VISA app. Accomodation is sorted, I will just like to have a budget in mind for feeding expenses and all so as not to bother my host too much. Thanks
