when it come to activism in nigeria, yorubas have been in the fore-front right from pre-independent period. the most critics of military regime in the country were yoruba, even when obasanjo was military head of state.(he will not forget tai solarin and fela kuti). the democracy and freedom of speech which these chest beaters/ipob are now enjoying was fought for by yoruba people include this soyinka. where were igbo leaders and biafran agitators during abacha era.
