Reading her comments reminds me of my college days. Where one feels everything he/she reads in a text book is a true reflection of reality.

As much as I don't have an "abroad" mentality, I dislike our leaders with passion. I will stand anywhere to defend Nigeria in the midst of our common enemies (majority will do same oversea, especially when confronted by pathetic racists).

Brain drain is a serious issue, but in the case of Nigeria where unemployment remains extremely high, there is absolutely nothing to worry about. Over 1 million candidates sit for JAMB exam yearly. If the so called brain cannot harness the available or unavailable opportunities, then they won't be missed at home. Buhari is a case study here, his absence and presence add NOTHING to my life. He has long been replaced.

It's good, let them go, this country is over populated. As soon as a large number of people migrate we will have more things to enjoy here, I'm so happy about this news, you should be glad because life will be much better when fewer people are using the available resources we have here, less people struggling for jobs, cheaper food stuffs, cheaper housing, etc I sincerely pray this is real.

Here's a quick one, with a reduction in population, you will definitely have fewer people struggling for the available resources we have, for example, right now, because of high demand for good schools, prices of school fees are high to get quality education but when there are fewer people demanding such, prices will reduce

Wherever demand is high, prices go up, with a reduction in population, prices of goods, services, transportation will also reduce because fewer number of people will demand for it hence there will be a surplus in supply, bringing down the cost

Also, Nigeria being one of the most populous multi ethnic black countries is battling with how to utilize our human resources at the same time manage population explosion. Unfortunately we do not have correct data to help us solve this problem. There has to be some control and accurate data on population growth and it's implications for us in order to truly access and harness what we have

Our main problem is our inability to manage our explosive population complicated by our open borders where foreigners can easily mingle and do whatever they want

Because of our multi ethnicity, our population has become too big for someone to properly manage at the center this is why true federalism is the answer.

Other issues of concern are: laziness of the average citizen, lack of patriotism, change in attitude and value of the masses(get rich quick or die trying), tribalism, bad leadership, and corruption.

pls go, you'd be doing us a favour by going. Your children will be happy that you left, and my children will also be happy that you left too. That means fewer people struggling for admission opportunities into universities, fewer classmates for him, and that automatically means better teacher/student ratio in favour of te teachers, which will translate into better attention paid to every student including my child. This also means better educational outcomes. The list goes on and on.

dey console ur self u hear. In 25 years time most public uni wud hav become shit holes. Only private unis will be top notch u hear. Studied in d uk nd Nigeria. Nd i can tell u. What we hv here is not education. Just cram and pour. No wonder we never invent any thing. There are a lot of specialized scientific fields we are experiencing serious shortage at the moment. Nigeria doesn't have the facilities to train some scientists, so we train them abroad where they end up getting poached.

I seem to recall the national body for doctors crying about a shortage of doctors. To my knowledge there are a lot of graduate doctors, but there is a scarcity of some specialists.

I could go on but point is no country develops if its best keep getting poached.

And as far as i am concerned, Nigerian Universities are better today than British universities in Victorian era, yet that produced Darwin and going further into the past, the likes of Newton, Maxwell et al.

As they are here for now, what are they doing for the country? They are of no use to us here in the first place as most of them do not care about being useful to their home land so it's much better for them to go and contribute to their new country, there's nothing to be worried about.
