You can remind him about his debt, even if it means that he has to pay you in installments.

Well, I will say that half of them don't mind making the first move, or asking you out on a date.
I also noticed that the girls (at least in college) only ask you for something when it's really an emergency, say, if they need a scantron, green book or a pen/pencil, or a jump-starter in the event of their car battery not working.

Most of them are loathe to ask you to give them money to buy food or giving them money as a gift. Sometime last year, two White girls (they looked 20-21) had problems paying their restaurant bill with their debit card. I politely offered to help them, but they insisted on calling their mum to send some money into their account in order to pay the bill.
Maybe they were adamant in not wanting to owe anyone because, over here, if your friend gives you $5, there is an expectation that you have to pay it back.

In my mind I was like "this can't happen for Naija" cheesy
this can't happen in naija.. Lai lai

It's not illegal to use bitcoin. But make sure you don't use it for scam or money laundering purposes wink

Stay shocked
Tourist visa is for a short stay and not for immigration purpose.
Your elder sister is the type that makes visas difficult for genuine tourists, infact if she does that, you and your other siblings should say bye bye to America.
She has not gotten the visa yet and she is already talking of extention, assuming the visa is granted, on what grounds will she apply for an extension?

The kind of gross exaggerations that go on here is quite alarming. In as much as u want to correct someone.... There is no point also lying to correct someone. I really don't know how she breaking immigration rules affects her family or siblings. Its her cross if she is caught and deported and that doesn't stop anyone else from applying.

The type of questions i have been seeing here makes me wonder if common sense really do exists in this country again. Your sis have not even gotten a visa, you are already on a public forum asking how to break Visa rules. Tmr u will say village people are pursuing u.

What if breeze mistakenly blows this dude into nairaland's politics section? and he sees the hateful comments we throw at each other? How we tribally stereotype each other and look for every opportunity to spew hatred? Do you guys realize nairaland is the biggest? nigerian forum? Are we representing ourselves well? What would the world think when they come across the comments on this forum? Shaming ourselves all because of "likes"?

This situation is a perfect example of "you think you are doing me? You are doing yourself" Left for me, I think seun should copy reddit and quora on the upvote thingy, that way, stupid and tribalistic comments would get so many downvotes, it would deter tribalists from even commenting.

One thing we should all bear in mind is that the internet never forgets.
Well said. It just kills me when I read some hateful comments but from all indications I guess that chapter is about to end, the tribal bashing is reducing little by little.

Recall, while filling the DS160, you filled your parents data, and also you will answer the question of if you have an immediate relative in the US. You cannot lie about immediate relative cos you share same parents data. The VO will think you want to go same route as your sister, what next You need the strongest ties and prayers to cross the high hurdles of convincing the VO. That is a fact. The sins of your siblings catch up with you, unless you want to misrepresent (much more dangerous)

Lol.Where y'all got ur assumptions and fake informations from...only God knows. That people don't lie about relatives abroad is the figment of your imaginations. U should stop arguing about things u av little knowledge about. One of the lies told after monthly income is not having a relative abroad. Most have the wrong notion that indicating u have a relative abroad reduces ur chances while others click the No cos they really don't know the status of the so called relative. I really dont know how this is related to the argument cos it was about u telling someone they should forget about America for life if their sister breaks immigration laws. That ones sister broke immigration laws and was deported does not deter any of her relatives from applying and getting a visa except he or she committed a terror related offence where proper vetting will be done before visa can be issued to a relative of such. As a matter of fact Most of the non criminal deportations just carry a ban of 5 years after which such can apply for a visa again. If u think there is a computer program not to even mention a human VO that actually check if any of ur relatives have been deported for a non criminal offence like just breaking visa rules...all i can do is LOL. For ur info once anyone has gained entry...its is very difficult to be deported just like that especially if the individual have not committed any serious criminal offence....cos he/she still have a right to an immigration lawyer and an immigration hearing. Some of this hearings takes years. No one is encouraging anyone to break visa rules.....but correcting wrong notions is also Paramount. Why trying to talk some sense into clowns that ask funny questions publicly u don't need to exaggerate and pass wrong info in the process.

cheesy. Na internet. Who has time to be looking if one of ur sisters have been sent back before. What if u don't bare same surname cos of marriage or what if u had a change of name. They only go through all this stress in countries on terrorist watch where serious vetting are done. Even at the point of entry, its mostly when u are flagged for secondary inspection they start finding out all this funny infos. If they have to be confirming every bodies siblings even with a computer, i wonder how long they will use per person both at the embassy and point of entry. The Queue go long pass 3rd mainland beidge. This whole America thing is really not a big deal as it is always painted by some people on NL.

Having immediate relatieves that entered US through a legit way is ok, whether you list them or not, the VO knows cos details relating to your profile pops up.
@ bolded, msrepresentation? When caught, you use another lie to cover and keep damaging your profile with the embassy, I understand, keep decieving your the gulible ones.
