I've never seen a more confused oil company than shell... Applied for the same position twice in two years and since then its been pending...

And now they are recruiting again
you can try again this time around. Did you ask those you applied with to know if no one was invited to take up the offer and you were not? Did you go for their interview and passed?

Pending? Is it that you went through all stages and you're awaiting final feedback
Re: Shell Nigeria Graduate Recruitment 2017 by athorello(m): 5:57am On Jun 01, 2017
Technically, the vacancies are for those who graduated between 2013 and 2015.
Shell regret is usually automatic during application as soon as you failed a requirement or any of the online tests. The on-demand video interview submission and final interview may take time to review. Even after completing the online tests you might wait long to get invite for the next stage because I believe they'll still be scrutinizing your application. From, experience peeps get unsuccessful mail from Shell for reasons best known to them after they've previously sent you a success mail for a previous stage. I won't be surprised with the news people will soon start sharing here. So, keep praying as you apply. And update your CVs and cover letters to demonstrate your capacity, achievement and relationship (CAR). That is show that you're a potential, someone who has team work and collaboration skills, and your professional experiences should be stated using an achiever tone rather than a doer. Add any extra curricular stuff you did, volunteer work, church position, etc but stating your achievements e.g ”I helped to achieve so and so as a whatever coordinator working with whatever team", As a member of so so student organization, providing dash dash dash", etc. Note that MSc is like someone who has 2 to 3 years work experience, so even through you have a Nigerian MSc package it very well to demonstrate CAR. Reason is there are now so many shell trained scholars out there and from other specialized institutions in naija majority of whom are first class and distinction. So sir/ma the word is packaging. Whether you meet any of the requirements or not just package and try your luck. 2.2 is instant regret anyway, unless you lie at that stage. Abeg take your time before you begin. Good luck.....
