I honestly can't remember the last time Nigerians shows this much love to any leader.
This is a positive thing.
While some politicians and their aides are sowing discord, ordinary Nigerians are going about their normal life and whenever an opportunity presents itself for them to meet their leaders, they show much love.

If you think it is an easy task to unseat an incumbent President (like Buhari did, with the votes of Nigerians) go and ask Atiku, Falaye, and many others who have tried to democratically unseat an incumbent President.

The VP is more popular than the Presido. These children gave the DSS guys a tough job of keeping them in check.
