I honestly don't understand the rationale behind the term 'pure blood' and 'mixed blood'. She is an Ijaw woman and I believe that is all there should be to it. Branding someone as 'pure blood' or otherwise is slightly tilted towards prejudices and racism. It makes no sense.

Apology accepted. The fact is that historically in the fashion and beauty industry, people with dark skin are always given the backseat in preference to light skin. Just watch out and see how our female celebrities keep on "toning" their complexions to look light skinned and you'll understand where I'm coming from. Even if such discrimination is accepted elsewhere, Africa should be the one place on earth where a black person can take pride in his or her appearance.
