This is a wrong info. The fire was as a result of electric surge from the house behind the bank which later on spread to the bank. Fire service did not arrive in time and that made matters worse. The bank don burn down before fire service people arrived.

Money no lost because the bank get vault. The safe was standing when the fire was quenched. It was later opened and CBN came later in the day to carry all the money.

Na people of that area I pity. If FirstBank decides not to continue operation there na real gobe for all of them.

There is no bank in Ejigbo due to robbery. People of Ejigbo used to go to first bank in oko, the only bank in the community for transactions. Now no Bank again.
Re: First Bank, Oko In Oyo On Fire (Photos) by impact55: 8:24am On Jun 03, 2017
And this is the only functional bank in that axis, even Ejigbo (Osun State) rely on that Firstbank branch at Oko.

A branch of a financial institution was torched nd same branch connects to the institution database to operate, same with other branches..

So if u re looking for a financial institution database, visit Lagos were there head office is situated..

I am sure what u re referring to a branch is called Cash center, the branch that manages such cash center is always around the corner to evacuate their cash when it reaches a certain threshold.
So the little cash left is stored in the safe.

strong/safe/fireproof room? Bro, I don't think all banks have this room
you are right my brother, that bani is too local to have that kind of room whether strong or fireproof. But they should be a cctv system where the data base can give a video or atlest picture or sound no matter how burnt it is. This should be properly investigated.

True, not all bank branches have strong room. If they don't have strong room, they MUST have fire proof safe.

You must be living in a city to ask this question. There may be community banks around but they are not as trusted as Deposit Banks.
