lol like the way my son was. He Ws so quiet in vitro I never felt any strong movement all through ; I wld complain abt it at every ANC appointment n d Doc wld jst smile. Only scans reassured me then. DH wld keep saying he doesn't want a gentle baby o my son never kicked me, I wld wake up at night to see if I d quiet wld help me feel/hear his movement na so we do so tey o....until he was born n our life has never been d same, na real tornado even his Dad bows for his wahala

Remove the thought of ur pregnancy being threatened from ur mind, affirm positively.
Likely reasons for bleeding in early pregnancy is either old blood from d uterus, bruising on d cervix from intercourse, and also low progesterone levels.
Was it a doctor that placed u on bedrest? I am of the opinion he/she should have placed you on some form of progesterone support (duphaston or preferably cyclogest) if u can afford it, I'll advice u go get cyclogest pessaries and insert vaginally nightly till after ur 13th week.
Leave house chores be for now, stay away from hot spicy foods, pineapple, pawpaw, alcohol and SEX.
Drink lots of water at least 3-4L daily.
Relax and pray!

Yes u can get it from any reputable pharmacy without prescription .
Can't remember d exact price for duphaston. But cyclogest is between 10k-15k for 2 weeks dosage, depending on where you're buying. Last I bought, it was 12k.

Advice is based on most commonly used treatment for "similar" condition.
One thing for sure is this... The best advice/treatment is gotten from a certified medical doctor from a reputable hospital, not from nairaland!

I'm not a doctor but I've heard of people who got pregnant while on antibiotics and no side effect was noticed at birth.
I was using septrim for my cough during the first few weeks of my last pregnancy and to God be the glory all the fetal disorders associated with it jumped us pass.

Hello Mamas,

I am a little bit emotionally down at the moment. One of my sisters just called this morning and was crying that she lost her pregnancy again.

She is just like 8-10 weeks now. This should be the third she'll be loosing.

After she lost the second pregnancy, she went to a general hospital where they did the evacuation and told her to come immediately she got another BFP.
She did as advised and they gave her progestrone injection twice a week since 3 weeks now but just to wake up this morning to see red blood everywhere......

I am sincerly not happy......

May God console her and help her situation...

Cappo that's so sad. She needs to get to the root cause of the miscarriages, 3 times loss is not not funny. May God replace all she has lost.

Am so excited. she didn't even know she was in Labour, she left the house about 9pm on Sat by 10pm her princess came, on Sun morning they were discharged, Isn't dis God Awsome. To every Gtc mum, there is Notting too hard for God to do just trust and wait on him.

my dear, so i heard too that pineapple causes contraction which is why it is avoided during early pregnancy, walking they said helps the cervix to open fast. a friend of mine trekked a long distance at 38 weeks and she gave birth the following day. just my point of view sha
