Tried my best to like it but couldn't. I feel that it's too similar to X-Files in many ways.

Those kids tried sha. Their acting is commendable, esp the one with the lisp.

What kind of god is Wednesday?
How did laura return from the dead?
Why is salim looking for the jinn?
The only thing I grab is dat there's a war between the old gods nd new ones, everything else I dnt understand cry

Salim is cross lover's with the jinn

And Laura returned because of the leprechaun's coin

The book is way more better dunno if it's me or my imagination...

Try googling gods in different civilizations....... It will help to understand future characters. I am sure you recognized the Jesus guy immediately cos you already knew him.

Also,I think those scenes that seem misplaced (like anubis's first appearance) are a marker to later scenes in the series.

Once more........ Reading up each character's place in history helps

You can never go wrong with south park. I love the fact that there is always something new to learn, and it is based on true happenings around us (Most names and agencies are not changed). Eric, Stan, Kyle, kenny, Randy, Mr Garrison, Token, Butters, Mr Chef are all fun characters.

I also re-downloaded the 20 seasons again, this time I had to download subtitles per episode. This would help me in capturing funny moments like I do here to other Tv shows.

its just a great concept..let me let you in on a little secret,after each episode,I read different reviews online and watch some YouTube videos for better understanding

Try the above secret if you have difficulties understanding a series. It helps!!!

You never see Movies or Series be that, try Inception, The Usual Suspect, Shutter Island (Movies) and Westworld and The OA (Tv Series) without any external spoilers. Then let us know how far
