But jungle justice has to stop. Or you think you can't be a victim? Have you read about the Aluu4 or recently, Captain Mahmah in Ghana who was lynched while jogging. The woman that raised the alarm saw his gun and alerted people and the captain was taken for an armed robber and was beaten to death.

I have a friend who was almost lynched for helping a woman pick her purse which had fallen to the ground. The woman turned at that time and saw him holding her purse. She shouted and people came around and started beating him. He was lucky to break free and run for his life.

There was also the case of a woman who went to take her little nephew from school. It appeared that the nephew had done something bad and knew that he would be punished when he got home so he caused a scene at the bus stop. He refused to enter a bus with his aunty. Guys around got suspicious and thought the woman was a kidnapper and were about to lynch her when a neighbour passed and saved her. This last story happened in Ogun state at a time when kidnapping had been believed to be rampant.

Do you know that you could be walking on a busy street in Lagos and someone would shout thief and point at you and you would be lynched without questioning?
