The chilling texts of a girlfriend who allegedly encouraged her depressed partner to kill himself have been revealed

Michelle Carter, 20, is facing charges of manslaughter over the death of 18-year-old Conrad Roy, who died from Carbon Monoxide poisoning in 2014.

The teen, who had long battled depression was found dead in a Kmart parking lot several miles outside Boston, America.

The transcripts of their text message exchange in the build up to his tragic death has been released by Prosecutors at Taunton Trial Court, Massachusetts.

In one message, the court heard she wrote: “The time is right and you’re ready”, allegedly referencing Roy’s plan to commit suicide.

In others, Carter is said to have referenced Roy’s parents, assuring him they would be able to cope with him taking his own life.

The court heard more than 20,000 text messages exchanges were made – with more than 1,000 of those messages sent in the days leading up to Roy’s death.

Prosecutors say of those, dozens were text messages urging him to take his own life hours before Roy’s suicide.
