No! All will be fine. grin
bro...of a truth it will take miracle to get at least two of these lads...not even now when they're in their prime...
I don't see the NFF as strategic enough to lure these boys not until when they are like 25..
when 3 lions call up is not forthcoming...
the NFF really have to act smart to get at least 3

sir...I don't think so
to these guys they've made the best decisions ever to choose England over Nigeria....
only a miracle will make any renege on these pledge....
moreover many will be drafted into the 3 lions sooner or later...the English FA will want to infuse some into the 3 lions team....so as to to transfer same success to the senior team...

Calm down..

It is still youth football. Many of these guys are very open to playing for Nigeria if the opportunity presents itself.

Everyone's projected line up seems to take it for granted that Akpeyi would be the goalkeeper, but I won't be surprised if we see Ezenwa in goal tomorrow. I know that Akpeyi seems to have won the #2 spot but something tells me that Ezenwa might just nick it grin

Don't get me wrong, it's probably gonna be Akpeyi especially since he plays in South Africa, but I just don't want anybody to see that as a settled case. To me, aside from Carl Ikeme, the goalkeeping position is still open.

O pari

Exclusive – Rohr Goes For 4-3-3, Omeruo Dropped, Awaziem To Partner Ekong in Central Defence

Reports reaching Owngoalnigeria.com has it that FC Porto Nigerian defender Chidozie Awaziem will pair William Troost-Ekong in the heart of Nigerian defence when they take on South Africa tomorrow.

Awaziem was selected ahead of Chelsea defender Kenneth ‎Omeruo as coach Gernot Rohr wants to work with majority of the players who were with him in the training tour of France.

The coach maintained the bulk of the squad that defeated Togo 3-0 in their last friendly game with Mikel Agu and Ikechukwu Ezenwa the only players dropped for the returning duo of Ogenyi Onazi and Daniel Akpeyi.

It’s still unclear if the dropping of Omeruo who has been a stalwart in the heart of Nigeria’s defence since 2013 has anything to do with the physiological edge South Africa striker Tokelo Rantie has over him.

The last time Nigeria played South Africa in Uyo, the game ended 2-2 but Omeruo struggled to keep the rampaging forward in check, and with the forward set to lead the line again for South Africa on Saturday, it could be that he has cost Omeruo his spot in the Nigeria team for the clash.

Rohr has also picked 4-3-3 as the style his team will adopt against South Africa, who are hoping to end an unpleasant run of no win against Nigeria in any competitive game, as their only win came in a friendly game in 2004.

Confirmed Line -Up.

OPPONENT WATCH

Leaked – Bafana Bafana To Play With Five At The Back Against Eagles, Jali Gets New Role

Head coach of the senior national team of South Africa Stuart Baxter will approached Saturday game against Nigeria with a safety first approach as he is prepared to play with five defenders at the back.

Baxter recognise how deadly Nigeria can be in attack, and wants to nullify the pace at which the Eagles attack by playing men in front of the defence to stop them from threading balls behind.

That said the coach who loves to play with two defensive midfielders will this time around settle for Kermit Erasmus as the most advanced of his midfielders due to his ability to move from box to box regardless of how deep he plays.

Meanwhile Andile Jali will be the most important player for Baxter’s team against Nigeria with the KV Oostende defensive midfielder given a role just in front of the defenders, particularly to take out whoever leads the line for Nigeria as the top striker.

While Jali will concentrate on the top striker for Nigeria, the three centre back will be on alert to help the full backs if Nigeria threatens from the flank as expected during the course of the game.

Jali is well known for his well timed tackles and interceptions and Baxter believes he will be key to their chances of causing an upset by using him to disrupt the Super Eagles from their free flowing brand of football.

The coach has also asked his wards to be very physical against the Nigerians who are no where near them in terms of size, but are unpredictable especially with the ball at their feet.

I don't know about this Jali guy. I think their main man in midfield is the white boy Furman. Why aren't they talking about him? Mind games?
Very lovely player.

The South African players looked tall & big. I doubt if Iwobi & Iheanacho will be able to cope with them. They get easily pocketed by big & physical players.

Ejaria committed his international future to Nigeria, a while back. Unfortunately, that midfield area is crowded. It might be difficult to get Lookman and Solanke but the others might not be too difficult.

You don't know the feeling of winning the cup. Those boys will feel more English. They will now start to aspire to play for the 3 lions. It will be a thing of pride. It is psychological. Now lets all drum support for Venezuela. lol

Tension Grips Super Eagles Over Lineup; Fasting Shehu's Starting Spot At Risk

There is tension in the Super Eagles Le Meridian Hotel camp with Nigeria manager Gernot Rohr set to announce his starting lineup for Saturday's African Cup of Nations qualifier versus South Africa.

There remains a mystery about who will get Rohr's nod at right wing-back as the German has concerns about Anorthosis Famagusta star Abdullahi Shehu, who is observing the Ramadan fast.

In addition, he's faced with a dilemma whether to select John Ogu or Oghenekaro Etebo in the middle of the park, and has to choose either Moses Simon or Ahmed Musa to join Kelechi Iheanacho and Alex Iwobi in attack.

''There is tension in the Super Eagles camp, the players have not yet been informed about the starting lineup,'' a top source close to the Super Eagles team told allnigeriasoccer.com.

''Shehu Abdullahi was supposed to start at right back but Rohr is thinking of dropping him and replacing him with Ebuehi. He is fasting and may not have the energy to play the game.''

Based on the formation tried in the practice sessions, Daniel Akpeyi will start in goal, the two central defenders are Kenneth Omeruo and Troost-Ekong, Echiejile starts at left back, Onazi and Ndidi are the central midfielders.

At the end of the day, we are all speculating.

I don't see why Rohr will start Shehu and Musa especially if they would be fasting.
I don't see him starting Ebuehi, if truly Ebuehi is second in the pecking order. Omeruo in RB looks more likely. I expect a few surprises.
Etebo will start. Mark my words. Why is the battle between him and Ogu?

Alampasu in goal is only my hope, not that i'm expecting it to happen.

They can play while fasting, that's not an issue. They are professionals. The only issue is that they might not play 90 minutes.
