Yes it is.

You go to church to hear from God and to receive his Word, and to fellowship with other Christians....not to show others your financial status by your ability to give offerings and tithes.

If people are judging you because you put nothing in the offering basket....then the problem is with their wrong idea of what Church is than whether you put offering in the basket or not.
The Work of God will go on regardless of your financial contribution. God wants a relationship with you based on what is in your heart....not whether you can give Him things every time.

At the bolded, it's a legendary pseudox. No work will go on without monetary contribution. Christianity is beyond local publication now.

The church needs money to air her various programmes in TV.

The pastor needs money to feel among.

The less privileged need financial support.

The aged, the widowed, all need support.

Let's talk based on present reality.

It is very very wrong. God is not interested in your money but your way of life which must be Christ-like. It is the mentality of people thause to cause all this no offering no church. The Apostles in those days, walk without money on them, attend services without on them, yet they glorify God. Your dance alone truthfully is an offering.

The time for the true worshippers to come together and worship God in spirit and truth (John 4:23) is now. Go to the Lord, and pray for sufficiency, then you will always have it. Do not reject te gathering of the brethren, as this wil always encourage, enlighten and brighting you the more.

If you don't have offering or tithe, just stay at home,
God will not even notice you went to church, he's busy attending to people who came with their offering

Secondly, The pastor needs to feed his family, buy a new Rolls Royce, buy a new private jet, put this in consideration and always work hard during the week so you would have the pastor's offering on Sunday

you're delusional

Yes it does....but if you cannot give money at a particular moment...you should not avoid going to church.

True, very true. God said in His word that none should come into his presence empty handed...even if you don't have any cash offering, you can offer God praises, worship, dancing, your services with your talent, etc. Truly we all have something to offer God, not just money.

it is very wrong. try as much as possible not to go to church for the sake of people but for your relationship with God. there were times I had similar challenge, I went to church without offering and once is time for offering I use the opportunity to table the embarrassing situation before God. if the church share envelope, they just made things easy for me as I will neatly return it empty because God sees my pocket.

How can he go to church, when churches nowadays if you don't have money you look like a dead man among the living. That was how a girl in Oshodi and her family stays in one room together she always support Chris Embassy with 500k every October 1st. One pastor Mr John love that girl more than everyone in the church...he always insult my cousins because they were broke and couldn't make a pledge.

nowadays, if you don't have money you cannot go to church. i stop going to church and paying my offering, the new thing i learned is that i give all my offerings to beggars every week.
You were in the wrong place. That girl was just carried away. There are churches looking for people to deliver the word of God to without financial consideration but again it will be hypocritical for anyone to say he doesn't have money for offering but would have it for spending unnecessary things. For example it will be foolish for a guy to watch Epl for N50 yet would come to God empty handed

For me o, Offering no be must. You can have and not even want to give. Where two or more are gathered the lord dwells with them. Take no Offering wasn't mentioned. Imagine going to church giving offering and trekking home. it doesn't work that way. #myownview.

Firstly the way most churches go about this offering of a thing is what causes this in the first place. The environment would make you too conscious about giving your offering I attended this church and I was shy to drop 50 bucks in the basket just because of the importance placed on the offerings.
My church approach remains the best. If you don't have any offering lift up your hands and offer your life to God and after service you walk to the basket and drop your offering.
What most churches and ppl don't understand is offering is a means of worship but has been abused and turned to something else entirely.
Yes it' has being abused but it doesn't stop one from giving. You would see a girl with plenty make up, spray expensive perfume saying she's broke whereas she just made her hair in the salon or a guy with an expensive phone saying its well. Then who are they deceiving if not themselves? Would they try this attitude In a shrine? .thats not to say someone can't be broke but the attitude of Christians will even may God turn his back. I watch a scenario were a woman testified that she sowed N20 to get a job, that day church scatter
