Madam, I never said I was better than people living there. I have actually been to ikotun egbe severally and the main reason I dislike the place is overpopulation. It is highly saturated and you can barely walk the main egbe road without bumping into people. It could be cheaper but the drainage system there is in a state of calamity. The few times I visited egbe, the power was erratic too.

Below is what happened when I last visited egbe.

Well people do and I like the place planning to move back.
Island is just too stupid No drainage bad roads and things are unnecessarily expensive.
I stayed in egbe and it was on point you will beg Nepa to take light you get good accommodation the road is very good security Nko on point when you pay baba olode 200 per apartment and still feel safe unlike this stupid island where you pay 5k and thieves parade your house every day.
I spend less going from mainland to island than from island to island.
Imagine going to work and you have to put your body inside dirty water.
Ikotun has many benefits abeg and you are not better than people living there.

But you did you said you don't expect people to live there and the picture is ikotun market which is like that in every market because the market people blocked the drainage and the water doesn't last up to 1 hour before the road is clear on the island it takes weeks.
Get your fact right with over population have you been to governors road NO.
And as for cheap houses yes but not all, you pay for what you want.
you can't be in the market and expect to see 1 person. And as for power being erratic that's a big fat lie was there recently and trust me I didn't want to leave.

Keep calm, you're taking this too seriously and getting things wrong. That was not in front of ikotun market by the way and did you say one hour? Lol, I was there for hours, hours. I'll just drop this issue here.

I was headed to the Island for a meeting yesterday when I received a call that not only was the office inaccessible due to the flooding, key decision makers couldn't even leave their homes.

Logged on to NL, and saw the thread about the flood situation and recalled that someone called threebear was making a fuss about this a short while ago.

I know this is moot, but this is also for the young man @threebear who was ranting about Lekki being devoid of flooding issues and all that...

https://www.nairaland.com/3872504/lekki-flooded-after-heavy-rainfall/1

So, for those looking to move to Lekki, make sure you do have an SUV, and be ready for such big man/boy problems like this during the rainy season grin cheesy.

Oh... You might also want to ensure that you're mid-level management at the very least too. That way, you can at least wait out the rain before showing up to work. Otherwise, rain or not, you better show up to work, and on time too lol. cheesy tongue.

You can ask an agent in surulere about Masha, Bode Thomas, ericmoore, adeniran ogunsanya, randle avenue axis. These are fairly decent axis of surulere even Iponri and Ishaga.

Do not accept any other place. the best place is Ajao estate...you see celebrities, make good friends and hang out with big people. nice location

Hi CollinsWeGlobe
I thought Ajao Estate is an affluent neighborhood where people are secluded from each others. Even when going out they mount on their exotic cars and off they go
How then can you make friends in such a situation
Just curious. Thought living in estate is boring

1. How much is a 3 bed flat at Ikeja G.R.A and which area there is the light reasonable?

2. I heard Punch Estate at Mangoro uses Airport Light so they have constant light?, is that true and what's the range of a 3 bed flat there

3. I need a listing of places to stay with light as the top most priority on the mainland?

Which is the best estate in opebi and which of the omole is better, phase 1 or phase 2
PeacenLove2:
Ikeja GRA, Several Estates in Opebi, off Allen Avenue Ikeja, even if you like the service apartments.

There are nice places including Estates in Gbagada too.

Omole Estate is a good one too.

Magodo is good too. Just be careful. Some areas have flood problems.

I'm not sure of Surulere. Too many overpriced old structures.

Good luck.

Awuse two bedroom flat is around 2 million or 2.5 million naira. The security is tight and the roads a re well tarred. a lot of expartraites also live there especially indians. Chris Okotie also has a big house there close to the omodara axis in the estate. At night i thinl they use OPC for protection and last i checked the electricity in the estate was pretty good. The location is also excellent if u work in ikeja but not so sure if its good enough if u work on the island. If you have children its not far from chrisland which is quite pricey but there are other schools in the neighbourhood. All in All, it has a very nice ambience which i can say is second to only ikeja GRA in the whole ikeja axis.

The negative part is that social life in the state is dead at night and during the day.I only know one hotel jeromes garden and suites in the estate. i dont know if there are more. there are no bars or lounges or hot spots in awuse estate compared to Ikeja GRA where you have all the best eateries and lounges and hotspots. However outside the awuse estate you can find all that along the opebi to allen stretch all the way to the ikeja mall

If you can afford it, i highly highly recommend the place in terms of security, electricity and ambiance.
