Episode 7 reveals they go way back. I believe Laura is the reincarnation of Essie. Mad sweeny maybe feels obligated for old time sake or maybe it must be freely given back. The flies are around because Laura'd body is still slowly decomposing.

she's not the reincarnation of essie, the producers used the same actress because they loved her work in the show and because it ties mad Sweeney's past and present in the story.(remember one actress also played essie's granny and essie as a granny too) Mad Sweeney decided to help her because he has become close to her and also because he was involved with the laura and robbie accident(orchestrated by Mr Wednesday himself to remove any earthly ties that shadow has), hence the reason he decided to do the opposite and use the coin to save laura, showing that just like he helped a dying essie on, he is not all bad and cunning like leprechauns are made to be.

Oga where was it overhyped?, don't expect every show to have same storyline with GOT this series is quite different from others, try and watch and enjoy it no competition here.

I need better adventure mix with fantasy, sci - fi too... Pls recommend. For now I never understand this except I do better review again. But wait na Jesus then use bullet kill for episode 6

it was on YouTube that I researched about the best season films of 2017 and I saw American gods, along with others like Legion and emerald city. I have seen Legion and honestly the movie is soo confusing u need patients to watch it otherwise u may run man.
but havnt seen emerald city yet.
