So according to this OP, the guy tried to overtake the SUV and I'm guessing the MOPOL, in James Bond style, jumped on the bonnet of the car to try and physically prevent him from overtaking the SUV because if he does, the SUV will catch fire abi

How can anyone watch this video and arrive at such a senseless conclusion that this motorist was beaten because he tried to overtake another vehicle

It is obvious even without being told, that this vehicle was probably stopped at a checkpoint, refused to stop and the MOPOL (who is just as foolish as the driver) decided to jump on the bonnet of the car thinking that will compel the driver to stop. The mumu driver refuses to stop until he is finally forced to, by the SUV and the policemen catch up and rain hell on the driver.

I do agree that the Police were quite heavy handed in dealing with the guy though.

This incident occured around Gwagwalada, Abuja. According to the eyewitness, the offense of the driver was that he tried to overtake the men riding in a jeep. He was labeled a criminal, prompting some policemen descended on him.

The fact is until we make the minimum requirement to enlist to our police force to be a lower credit in any approved universities, things like this will keep happening. I still don't know the rational behind giving illiterates guns because they can't be responsible enough to use it correctly. Hell, they can't even speak properly without barking out orders.

Nnamdi it is the Govt you should blame. The police officers that died in the Owerri Robbery that was all over the internet last week, were they remembered before now? If not the Bank that released the video, they were forgotten. Imagine, no bullet proof vest and Armed robbers just kill policemen just like that if you are a police officer nko? How would you feel?
