I know the Benin kingdom supplied slaves to the Portuguese, but do you have evidence that igbos in Cameroon, Gabon etc were slave suppliers?

So the Igbos have history afterall , that perhaps explains their love for commerce. And I think I can explain the emergence of ancient Igbo text, was probably for the need to keep record and audit of accumulated wealth, and merchandise.

the reality is that igbo came lately in Africa around 1400AD in an area covered by Cameroon/Gabon/Equatorial guinea today, they didn't have center government like bini, oyo etc, they were living there scattered in the jungle that's where Portuguese met them in the mid 1500AD!
you can imagine Igbo population at that time(in 1960 igbo is 6million, so 4 century back).Portuguese created biafra country to facilitate their slave trade and igbo served them slaves kidnapped from Benin kingdom, when slavery ended, no more business that's when igbo move to the area they were today(south east). When British entered interlard they met igbo , mobilized them and included them to the southern protectorate in1900!
it is not because igbo is powerful, or igbo resist the the white no!
igbo didn't had the kingdom to be conquered!
