Imagine the rubbish people build in the name of roads. How can someone who calls him/herself an engineer look at this terrain and provide no coarse aggregate on the top soil to prevent the road from flowing with the laterite when it reaches its liquid limit. angry

In the year two thousand and eleven, something similar happened along Ekewan road in Benin city and despite all the headlines it made, the place is still the same as I type this comment. Let us hope this one is not abandoned as well.

I think is high time we begin to make scape goat of our engineers. The engineer who approved the design of the road without drainage system needs his licence withdrawn if he have one any way. I hope COREN will start living up to its responsibilities.

90% of most roads in Akwa-Ibom state(excluding Uyo) don't have drainage systems. Their roads do look good with no potholes etc, but no drainage.

But mind you ,this is not akwa ibom state , there is no place that is called midim in our abak LGA. So try another state maybe in enugu or anambra ,this picture will fit

I blame the government. This road must have been tearing gradually, showing signs of weakness. But the government won't see to it untill it becomes completely destroyed. Now it's going to cost more to fix.
